From October 28 to 30, the high-level forum for the new logistics development at the middle stream of the Yangtze River and the annual meeting of collaborating group of logistics profession of the financial colleges of the whole country in 2016 was held in Changsha. This forum was sponsored by our university and the collaborating group of the logistics profession of the financial colleges of the whole country, and was organized by School of Business Administration. About 130 experts and scholars from colleges and universities like Beijing Technology and Business University, Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, Shanghai Maritime University, Chongqing Technology and Business University, East China Jiaotong University, Shandong University of Finance and Economics, Guangzhou University, Hubei University of Economics, Xiangnan University, etc. and large enterprises like Beijing Logis, Wantian Group, Hunan Zhongyou Logistics, Shanhe Medical Supply Chain, etc. attended it. Zhang Guocai - secretary of Higher Financial & Economic and Education Branch of China Higher Education Association sent the letter of congratulations to the forum.

The president and professor Chen Xiaohong of our university made a speech in the opening ceremony. She showed a warm welcome to all participants and the sincere appreciation to the brother colleges that gave full support for this forum, and she made a brief introduction for the strategy of three improvements and the current status for the development of the disciplines related to logistic management of our university.

She pointed out that the change of industrial development environment brought by big data, cloud computation and Internet of Things required the interactive innovation and cooperative research from the academic and industrial circles, and hoped that this forum could further enhance the exchange and cooperation of the experts and scholars, and enhance the quality of talent cultivation and the rapid improvement of the related research level with this as the opportunity. She called on all to make joint efforts and new contributions for the improvement of the related research on the logistic management and the development level of the logistics industry of our country.

The chairman of the collaborating group and the leader of our university, professor Yang Hong made the working report of the collaborating group, which combed the working status on the logistics specialty for five years since the establishment with a focus on the project of "domestic outstanding undergraduate exchange students of logistics specialty" developed by the collaborating group and the cooperation activity of "aid education on logistics" initiated at the west area and conducted the further innovation thinking on the next procedures of the collaborating group.

The vice-president of our university, professor Liu Guoquan was elected as the new chairman of the collaborating group on logistics specialty for all financial colleges all over the country. The annual meeting of the collaborating group of logistics specialty in 2017 shall be undertaken by Chongqing Technology and Business University.

The meeting also conducted the appointment ceremony for the visiting professor, professor of innovation and entrepreneurship of logistics specialty, innovation and entrepreneurship mentors of our university. President Chen on behalf of our university appointed chairman and vice-chairman of teaching instruction commission of Logistics Specialty in institutions of higher education of Ministry of Education, professor Huang Youfang-president of Shanghai Maritime University, professor He Mingke-director of Science and Technology Office of Beijing Technology and Business University, members of commission of teaching instruction of Logistics Specialty in institutions of higher education of Ministry of Education, professor Li Yanfeng-dean of School of Logistics of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, professor Xie Ruhe-secretary of School of Business Administration of Guangzhou University and Mr. Shao Dongqing - general manager of Beijing Logis Technology Development Co., Ltd. as visiting professors of our university; appoint Liu Xiaocheng, the president of Hunan Hengbang Logistics Co., Ltd., Li Suhui, the general manager of Hunan COSCO International Freight Co., Ltd., Mrs. Hu Xueying, the vice-chairman of Hunan Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, and general manager of Changsha Pharmaceutical Health Industry Park as the innovation and entrepreneurship professors in the logistics specialty; Appoint Wang Yongwu, Ge Bin, Ding Can, Yang Zhongming, Yi Wei, Liu Jianyu, Jiang Zhou, Yu Tiejun, Li Youzhang, Fang Yingguo, Zhu Haixia, Zou Lin, Wang Xi and Liao Xiaoming as the innovation and entrepreneurship mentors in the logistics specialty.

Professors Huang Youfang, He Mingke, Tao Juncheng, Xu Shu and Gan Weihua made the academic reports of "Supply Chain Development Trend in the Free Trade Zone", "New Development of Logistics and Supply Chain Management", "Urban and Rural Logistics Network Reconstruction Research in the Large Data Era", "Study on the Collaborative Development between Hunan Logistics Industry and its Regional Economy, and Integration Development between Industry Linkage and Logistics", "Urban Agglomeration Integration Thought in the Middle Stream of the Yangtze River on the Basis of Logistics Industry Cluster" respectively.

After that, the participating representatives made the group discussion and reached the primary cooperation intention. This conference has further enhanced our university's logistics specialty's influence in the financial colleges of the whole country, meanwhile, which can also positively deepen the teaching reform of logistics specialty and enhance the scientific research level.
