Vice-president Wang Minggao Made Investigation and Survey in the School of Foreign Languages

On the afternoon of September 27, the vice-president Wang Minggao came to School of Foreign Languages for investigation and survey. Hu Yanfen, the general party branch secretary of the School of Foreign Languages, presided over the forum, and all teaching staff attended it.

Combining with the learning experience in Oxford University during the visiting study period, the vice-president Wang Minggao emphasized English's important function in scientific research. Then, he analyzed the university development current situation of campus construction, supporting efforts of superior departments, influence, employment rate, funds allocation and other aspects. Meanwhile, he put forward two requirements for School of Foreign Languages: Firstly, pay more attention to the scientific research, strive to make scientific research become bigger and stronger, attach importance to the scientific research topics burnishing and establish the atmosphere of "mutual help, mutual assistance, mutual respect and mutual understanding"; Secondly, insist on high standards, refine discipline characteristics, develop characteristic disciplines and strive to put a certain influence in the province.
