Our University Won the First, Second and Third Prize in the Provincial University Students Electronic Design Competition

According to the news from Provincial Education Department, our university's 8 teams (24 students) participated in Hunan Province 2016 University Students Electronic Competition and won first, second and third prize, as well as 4 outstanding prizes a few days ago. The award-winning level and quantity were the historical high of our university attending such competitions.

24 students who came from Telecom Specialty of School of Computer Science & Information Technology accepted the round-the-clock concentrated training for 52 days under the guidance of Wang Li, Qin Yemei, Ni Wenzhi, He Jing, Zhou Kaijun and Zhao Xinyu During the summer holidays, and they obtained good results after 24-hour enclosed competition and nearly 10-hour expert testing in Changsha University of Science and Technology on August 22.

810 students who came from 272 teams and 30 colleges and universities participated in the competition this year, which leads to the extremely fierce competition. In order to cultivate students' practice ability and quality in the design of electronic, system and engineering, and enhance the teaching quality and level of participating universities, the Competition will ask 3 participants to establish a team to independently accomplish scheme design, circuit design, software design, software simulation, device welding, circuit installation, real object manufacturing, debugging test, measurement analysis, drawing making, report writing, expert evaluation, on-spot answering and other contents within the limited period according to the competition question requirements. It can be said that the tasks were heavy and the technical contents were high. Due to its strength, profession, technology, engineering, fairness, objectiveness and other prominent characteristics, the foregoing competition had gained the extensive attention and high recognition from society, meanwhile, all students who came from Information Specialty of colleges and universities were also attracted to make active participation, what's more, the students who graduated from other specialties besides information also chased after it.

This award marked that our university students' engineering practice and innovative ability were further enhanced, in such case, School of Computer Science & Information Technology intended to consider it as the starting point to establish the long-term mechanism about University Students Electronic Information Innovative Practice Base for all students, and cultivate more information-type engineering innovative talents, beyond that, the School will establish Engineering Practice Center to solidly and effectively promote practice teaching to obtain high quality, high level and large scale in all specialties.
