The Schoolfellow Ning Songkai Making Investment of RMB 0.5 Million to Establish ”Award Fund for Thanking Excellent Teachers”

On the morning of September 6, the donation ceremony about "Award Fund for Thanking Excellent Teachers", which was established by the schoolfellow Ning Songkai, was held at the conference room 401 of Office Building 2 of our university. The president Chen Xiaohong, Xia Jichun, the deputy secretary of Party Committee, and the schoolfellow Ning Songkai, representatives of Guangzhou Class in 1996 (where Ning Songkai graduated) schoolfellow, teacher, student and the responsible persons of the related departments attended it, which was presided over by Xia Jichun, the deputy secretary of Party Committee.
In the ceremony, the president Chen Xiaohong and the schoolfellow Ning Songkai singed the donation agreement as representatives of both parties. Ning Songkai recalled the experience of learning and growth at HNUC with deep love and expressed reminiscence regarding alma mater and appreciation for his teachers. He said that he felt proud as schoolfellow when seeing the great achievements in development of alma mater in recent years, and he would continuously pay attention to the development of alma mater, and strive to contribute more based on his post to repay cultivation of alma mater and wished alma mater could realize the target of "three improvements".
The president Chen Xiaohong thanked for the schoolfellow Ning Songkai for his caring about alma mater and founding "Award Fund for Thanking Excellent Teachers" for teachers of alma mater. She pointed out that it's the first award fund of our university set for teachers embodying the schoolfellow's profound friendship with teachers of alma mater. She introduced the basic school-running conditions and important projects under construction. She deemed that schoolfellows' fame and contribution in the society was one of the most important evaluation criterions of talent cultivation quality of the university, and schoolfellows were the biggest treasure of the university, alma mater felt proud of you and welcomed you to alma mater often. She hoped that the related university departments will select the excellent teachers who had made prominent contributions in teaching, scientific research, students concerning, student growth guidance and other aspects according to "Award Fund for Thanking Excellent Teachers" management method. Meanwhile, she hoped that all schoolfellows will continue to support and take care of the university development.
Ning Songkai is the outstanding schoolfellow graduated in 1996. He studied at Class 9411 of marketing major of Department of Economic and Trade of our university as in-service policeman of Guangdong Provincial Public Security in 1994. He has been working hard in the food and drug production industry since graduation, now he works as the large region principal of China Traditional Chinese Medicine Co. Limited (central enterprises) subordinate to China National Pharmaceutical Group Corporation, assistant to the dean of Guangdong Province Engineering Technology Research Institute of T.C.M, director of Guangdong Traditional Chinese Medicine Formula Granule Engineering Technology Association and managing director of famous eleemosynary corporation in China-Millicharity.
The "Award Fund for Thanking Excellent Teachers" was founded after the schoolfellow Ning Songkai donated RMB 0.5 million, which was aimed at stimulating extensive teachers to dedicate themselves to work and love students, impart knowledge and educate people and conduct academic innovation. The fund rewards 10 teachers every year and each of these teachers can gain RMB 0.01 million as award and the selection is conducted once a year. 13 excellent teachers are rewarded in 2016.
