On July 25, president Chen Xiaohong, vice-presidents Peng Jinqing and Wang Minggao led responsible persons of Party and Government Affairs Office, Finance Department, Infrastructure Construction Department, Logistics Department and other departments to examine the campus projects under construction and to extend their regards to constructors, regardless of scorching sun.
The delegation led by president Chen inspected No. 3 Canteen, Cuiya Apartment, Track and Field Stadium Stand, Xiande Academy, No. 23 Teachers Building, Chufeng Bridge, No. 1 Canteen, No. 1 Office Building, Chang Garden, Lezhi Building, Xianjia Student Appartment, Lingnan Cmapus and other construction and renovation projects. During the inspection, she listened to the introduction from the responsible persons of Infrastructure Construction Department and Logistics Department carefully, and inspected the construction details under the burning sun without letting off any details. She expressed her sincere regards to constructors and urged related department responsible persons and project responsible persons to take measures against high temperature to prevent sunstroke and care every constructor.
She was satisfied with every project progress and proposed guidance suggestion for project construction. She asked to realize the maximum using of space in underground first floor of No. 1 and No. 2 Building of Cuiya Apartment, and gym, book bar and psychological counseling room can be constructed; The design of Xiande Academy must manifest the cultural atmosphere, and red bricks, white line and cob brick house can be considered. Meanwhile, the surroundings of Xiande College must be planned as a garden; Chufeng Bridge sidewalk should be widened, and the appearance must be further beautified; The original parking lot besides No. 1 Canteen will be reconstructed into a central garden where the school motto stone is placed to manifest the features of HNUC and create a scenic spot for taking graduation photos; In Lezhi Building, an interior garden should be designed, and the gate should be reconstructed; Flowers and grass in the front lawn of library, flower beds of Chang Garden and Xiande Apartment should be trimmed and cleaned timely to make the campus greener; Basketball stands in basketball court of Xianjia Apartment need to be painted and repaired in time to provide a good exercise condition for students; No. 3 Canteen shower room is reconstructed into a supermarket, and a design scheme for reconstructing the front lawn of No. 1 Office Building should be finalized as soon as possible; External walls of No. 12, 14 teachers' apartment building need to be repaired to provide a comfortable living environment for teaching and administrative staff. In addition, she asked to further control campus environment, and clear garbage and articles stacked in corridor and outdoors in time to keep a clean and tidy campus.
She stressed that the campus construction projects in this summer holiday are featured with tight construction schedule with heavy tasks, so we need to make concerted effort to overcome difficulties, implement safety production responsibility properly, put emphasis on work quality, conform to progress schedule and complete constructions with a high standard.
