Deputy Director of Standing Committee of Hunan Provincial People’s Congress Wang Kemin Debriefed Village Aids Work Report of Our School

On June 28th, Wang Kemin, deputy director of Standing Committee of Hunan Provincial People’s Congress and also provincial leader in charge of the village aids of Xinshao County, led some leaders of related provincial units to inspect and do research of village aids work in Xinshao County, including Shi Guangming, director of Minority, Overseas and Foreign Committee of Provincial People’s Congress, Huang Chunyang, deputy Party secretary and deputy director of Hunan Judicial Office, and Yang Wenhui, deputy inspector of Hunan Poverty Alleviation Office.
Xia Jichun, deputy Party Secretary of our university briefed the working circumstances of the village aids work in our university during the past year to deputy director Wang Kemin. Xia Jichun said that the party members and all the faculties and students in our university coordinated the development of the village aids work with a high sense of political responsibility and a sense of mission to contribute to the development of local economy and society. We had already made the preliminary progress in the work we did with our own characteristics. Meanwhile, he also briefed the existing hardships and problems in the work.
After debriefing and reading some related files, deputy director Wang Kemin expressed that the leaders in our university paid great attention to and took part in some related work in person. He also said the team encamped in the rural villages did concrete jobs and made some concrete progress. He intended to make a formal inspection to the villages we aided this year.
Wang Kemin hoped our university and the village aids working teams to accomplish things stated as follows. Firstly, we should base our work on the existing working accomplishments and focus on precise targets, analysis of poverty causes, poverty-alleviation measures and project arrangements to promote the related work in an all-around and systematic manner according to the existing timetable, course map and mission paper. Secondly, we should better utilize the distinctive advantages of village aids work by institutes of higher learning as well education industry, which alleviate the poverty, promote education and build an ever-lasting local working team at the same time. Thirdly, we should confront positively the new situation and problems after the combination of villages, optimize and revise slightly the original plan and avoid the large-scale revision or swap of the blueprint.
