Our School Held Meeting for 2016 Graduate Representatives

On the afternoon of June 1st, the meeting of 2016 graduate representatives themed with “Youth, Dream, Dedication --- My College Life” was held in conference room 401 in the Second Office Building. Party secretary Tang Yayang, vice presidents Zeng Fuqiu and Liu Guoquan talked warmly with and gave graduation blessings to 29 graduate representatives from every department. Responsible persons from Student Affairs Office, Admission and Employment Guidance Division, Teaching Affairs Division, School Youth League Committee, Logistics Department, Library, Apartment Centers and deputy Party Secretaries of each secondary school attended the meeting. The forum was hosted by Hu Xiaofeng from Telecommunication Class 1201 in School of Computer Science and Information Technology. Cross row seats were set for the meeting with atmosphere relaxed and active.
In the meeting, the student representative to aid Xinjiang Province in western plan, the student representative selected to be village official, the student representative to become postgraduate student, the student representative from ethnic group, the student representative who is poor, the student representative who joins the army, the student representative to be admitted as civil servant, as well as the student representative successful in entrepreneurship spoke enthusiastically about their good memories of the university in the past four years, shared the growth and feelings, expressed appreciation and love to their alma mater, and talked about future ideals and objectives.
After listening carefully to the speeches, Party Secretary Tang Yayang on behalf of the school expressed thanks and congratulations to them, saying “thank you and your parents for choosing HNUC four years ago ; thank you for growing and making harvest with the HNUC for these four years ; thank you for adhering to and concerning HNUC for your future life. Congratulations to you through your own efforts, struggle and stamina to ensure the successful completion of your studies, congratulation to you for having grown up and having a maturer, richer spiritual world and more sound personality; congratulation to you for soon becoming a social person and achieving the ideal in a wider world.
Tang Yayang told graduates that they should bear in mind the five little hopes Xi Jinping, general secretary, proposed to young people, which was “to be firm on ideals and beliefs, to acquire excellent skills, to have the courage to create, to be committed to hard work, to temper noble character”. He said that the students should learn knowledge, learn to do things, learn to live together, learn to survive. Firstly, stick to learning, with pioneering and enterprising spirit, keep in mind the school motto “Honest, trustworthy, pragmatic, creative”, keep good faith, do practical work, seek innovation, seek truth. Secondly, have awareness of the problem, learn to face the problem and think, analyze problems, learn how to behave. Thirdly, keep in mind that “you should learn to be a qualified person before you learn to work” while quality change the world. Fourthly, have respect for others, understand others, have a sense of responsibility and be tolerant. Fifthly, have ambitions, a world vision and a global mind. Try to be down to earth and look up into the sky at the same time. Sixth, pass on the positive energy “to be upward and forward, to do good deeds”. He finally wished 2016 graduates a bright future, and welcome them back to visit the alma mater. Graduates present said they would carry the expectations and wishes of the alma mater, continue to carry forward the motto of “Honest, trustworthy, pragmatic, creative” in the future life, to create their own brilliant life and pay back to his alma mater in practical action.
