On November 29, the final of the 4th Hunan Provincial Postgraduate Computer Innovation Competition for University Students was held at HUTB. Sponsored by the Department of Education of Hunan Province, co-organized by the Hunan Computer Federation, and undertaken by HUTB, this competition is an important discipline-specific event open to universities across the province, primarily targeting current postgraduate students.

Zhang Ling, Director of the Competition Organizing Committee and Vice President of HUTB, delivered a welcome speech. Li Kenli, Vice President of Hunan University and Vice Chairman of the Hunan Computer Federation, conducted an on-site inspection and guidance. Diao Jietao, Chairman of the Competition Expert Evaluation Panel and Professor of the National University of Defense Technology, addressed the event. Huang Zuoliu, a student from HUTB, spoke on behalf of all participants. The opening ceremony was hosted by Du Yan, Dean of the Graduate School of HUTB.

Adhering to the principle of "AI Empowers, Intelligence Inspires the Future", this year's competition adopts an open and independent topic selection method. It encourages participants to tackle key problems in cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and advanced computing, freely explore and refine achievements in application fields including equipment manufacturing, information innovation and the Internet of Things, and ultimately submit original, advanced and application-promising computer-related works. The competition sets three directions: theoretical innovation, technological innovation and application innovation, attracting 311 teams from 17 universities across the province, with a total of 93 teams shortlisted for the final defense.

At the roadshow, all participating teams fully demonstrated their innovative achievements, showing solid professional qualities and a high-spirited competitive demeanor. Review experts conducted in-depth analysis, detailed comments and guidance from a professional perspective. The collision of ideas and academic exchanges have strengthened original innovation and key core technology research, building a practical platform for computer-related disciplines to test innovation capabilities and realize the integration of industry, education and research.

Since its establishment, the competition has always adhered to the original aspiration of "promoting learning through competition, advancing research through competition, and encouraging innovation through competition", and has become an important link connecting the education chain, talent chain and innovation chain. A number of outstanding innovative achievements have emerged from the competition, vividly illustrating that "education is the 'reservoir' for talent training, and talent is the 'engine' for scientific and technological innovation", and injecting youthful momentum into the realization of the "Three Highlands, Four New Missions" grand blueprint.
