2024-09-07
In the golden autumn of September, we joyfully welcome the eager students, setting sail together toward a wonderful new journey. From September 5 to 6, our university warmly welcomed 7,505 new students of Class 2024, including 795 graduate students and 6,710 undergraduate students. Amid the blazing sun, the freshmen, accompanied by their families, arrived at the beautiful campus of HUTB, officially starting their new journey in higher education.
To ensure a comprehensive and orderly orientation process, CPC HUTB Committee attached great importance to the task and established a leading group for welcoming new students. They held a work coordination meeting in advance to systematically plan and arrange activities, forming thirteen working groups to ensure that all aspects of this year's orientation are seamlessly connected and well-supported. This will provide thoughtful, detailed, and warm services for new students and their parents during their arrival at the university.
On the morning of September 5, the new students, filled with anticipation and joy, stepped into the elegant and beautiful campus of HUTB, surrounded by lush greenery. As they entered the campus, they were greeted by a stunning poster reading "New Starting Point, New Journey—A Warm Welcome to the New Students of Class 2024." Festive red arches, welcoming banners, and colorful flags lined the pathway, while welcoming staff held up signs and cards. Student volunteers helped carry the freshmen's luggage and guided them through the registration process. Security personnel, undeterred by the blazing sun, stood firm at their posts to manage traffic. All these efforts highlighted the enthusiasm and joy of HUTB in welcoming its new students.
At the orientation site, countless heartfelt details caught the eye. New students walked in with light and confident steps, holding their admission letters filled with pride as they began the registration process. Faculty staff and students from various schools provided meticulous services to new students, including registration consultations, document reviews, material distribution, and guidance through the processes. The university also established a green channel for new students and consultation points for financial aid policies. They provided guidance on financial aid policies to students from economically disadvantaged families. The site also featured self-service drinking water stations, temporary rest areas, and medical service points, where logistics staff warmly provided refreshing services for new students and their parents. The university set up many creative welcome posters and photo spots at the orientation area. Inside the student dormitories, the dormitory staff patiently processed check-in procedures for the new students, explained dormitory life details, and distributed essential living materials. In addition, the university also set up reception points at the Moon Island West Station of Metro Line 4 and the HUTB Station of Metro Line 6 to guide and assist new students and their parents. The university also arranged campus service shuttles and caring carts to help freshmen with their luggage.
Across the campus, beautifully designed and creative welcome stands, cultural background walls, and large spray paintings were displayed. The new students of class 2024 are filled with anticipation for the future and wear happy smiles on their faces as they capture the wonderful moments of their first day at the university with their parents, fellow students, and teachers. These moments will become lasting memories of this important time in their lives.
After two days of successful orientation activities, a new chapter is slowly unfolding, with an atmosphere of warmth, joy, and excitement permeating the campus. The new students of Class 2024 have embarked on the long-anticipated university life, while HUTB welcomes another group of outstanding students filled with youth and vitality. We sincerely wish the new students of Class 2024 to pursue their dreams on this new academic journey, cultivating excellence, diligence, and civility as habits. May they gain a wealth of knowledge, precious friendships, and joyful growth, making their university experience fulfilling and unforgettable.
