Xiangjiang Laboratory Holds Cooperation Signing Ceremony with Changsha State Owned Holding Group

On the afternoon of September 5, the Xiangjiang Laboratory held a cooperation signing ceremony with Changsha State Owned Assets Industry Holding Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Changsha State Owned Holding Group") in the Zhiyuan Lecture Hall of Xiangjiang Building. Attending the event were Chen Xiaohong, CAE Academician, Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, and Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, Yu Weijun, CPC Committee Secretary and Chairman of Changsha State Owned Holding Group, Liu Jianfeng, CPC Committee Secretary and Director of Changsha Xiangjiang Comprehensive Hub Project Office, Liu Guoquan, Executive Deputy Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, Hu Chunhua, Deputy Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, Luo Chaogang, Director and General Manager of Changsha State Owned Holding Group, and Yan Mengkai, CPC Committee Member, Director, and Deputy General Manager of Changsha State Owned Holding Group. Relevant department heads from both sides also attended the meeting. The ceremony was hosted by Hu Chunhua, Deputy Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory.
Academician Chen Xiaohong warmly welcomed Chairman Yu Weijun and his team. She pointed out that the Xiangjiang Laboratory, as the first provincial laboratory established in Hunan Province, has consistently integrated national needs, regional goals, and the laboratory's capabilities since its inception. The laboratory actively serves the construction of Hunan's "4×4" modern industrial system, achieving significant results in its practical operations. At the Provincial Science and Technology Conference and Science and Technology Award Conference held on September 3, Academician Chen Xiaohong was awarded the 2022-2023 Provincial Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award. The Xiangjiang Laboratory represented the "4+4 Sci-Tech Innovation Project" and delivered a keynote speech. She expressed the hope for close collaboration between both parties, leveraging the strong technological innovation capabilities of the Xiangjiang Laboratory and the outstanding industrial investment capabilities of Changsha State Owned Holding Group. The focus will be on investing in the upstream and downstream layouts of the innovation and industrial chains of the Xiangjiang Laboratory, accelerating the cultivation and development of new quality productive forces. This effort aims to create a model for technological innovation in Hunan and support the AI industry in Hunan to achieve a trillion-level leap, contributing even more to the construction of an innovative Hunan and an innovative nation.
Chairman Yu Weijun expressed gratitude to the Xiangjiang Laboratory and HUTB for their support of Changsha State Owned Holding Group. He stated that Changsha State Owned Holding Group is dedicated to becoming a professional state-owned capital investment and asset management operator, having initiated over 20 equity investment funds, with a total fund size exceeding RMB10 billion. In the future, Changsha State Owned Holding Group will strengthen its technical cooperation with the Xiangjiang Laboratory to promote the transformation of technological innovation achievements. He expressed the hope to establish "patient capital" through fund collaboration, directing investments into the fields of technological innovation and modern industrial systems. This aims to drive innovation breakthroughs from "0 to 1" and achieve result transformation from "1 to N," building an industrial ecosystem and striving to become a member of the "1+5+N" matrix of the Hunan Province Golden Furong Investment Fund as soon as possible.
In the presence of Academician Chen Xiaohong, Chairman Yu Weijun, and Director Liu Jianfeng, Executive Deputy Director Liu Guoquan and General Manager Luo Chaogang signed a cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties.
Before the meeting, the delegation from Changsha State Owned Holding Group visited the exhibition hall of research achievements and the Intelligent Logistics Laboratory at the Xiangjiang Laboratory.
