2024-11-20
To continuously build a "Happy HUTB," and further enhance the faculty and staff's awareness of self-care, HUTB held a health consultation event on the afternoon of November 19, in collaboration with Liuyang Orthopedic Traumatological Hospital and Jiang's Rehabilitation Hospital. The event was jointly organized by the Labour Union and the HUTB Hospital, with special invitations extended to Liuyang Orthopedic Traumatological Hospital and Jiang's Rehabilitation Hospital to provide free medical consultations on campus. The event also received strong support from the CPC Committee and government of Shegang Town, with Zeng Yi, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Shegang Town, attending the event to provide guidance.
The event began with a health education lecture. Luo Yongqing, executive member of the Cervical Spondylosis Committee of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and chief physician at Liuyang Orthopedic Traumatological Hospital, delivered a lecture titled "Understanding and Self-Protection of Cervical and Lumbar Spine Diseases." He provided a detailed explanation on how to identify orthopedic diseases early, scientifically prevent their onset, and various treatment methods. He also introduced ways to protect cervical and lumbar spine health through scientific exercise and good lifestyle habits in daily life. Additionally, he led the faculty, staff, and their families on-site in practicing a simple and easy-to-learn set of cervical spine exercises.
Subsequently, Xu Hui, associate chief physician at Jiang's Rehabilitation Hospital, along with her team, conducted in-person consultations for the faculty, staff, and their families attending the event, offering professional diagnoses and rehabilitation recommendations. For the faculty, staff, and their families with medical needs, the on-site medical team provided professional services including acupuncture therapy, auricular acupressure therapy, massage and spine correction in traditional Chinese medicine, physical therapy treatments (such as shockwave therapy, laser therapy, and medium-frequency therapy), and the application of medicinal plasters. The medical staff used the "Jiang's Bone-setting Technique" for symptom-targeted treatments, which received high praise for its excellent results from the attendees. At the same time, the medical team also provided targeted scientific healthcare advice.
Liuyang Orthopedic Traumatological Hospital and Jiang's Rehabilitation Hospital are well-known medical institutions in the industry, and their "Jiang's Bone-setting Technique" is highly renowned across the country. HUTB's invitation to high-level medical institutions for free medical consultations fully reflects the concern and care of the CPC HUTB Committee for the health of faculty and staff, and further enhances their sense of happiness and achievement. A total of more than 150 faculty members and their families received professional medical services during this event. Everyone unanimously agreed that participating in this thoughtful health consultation activity further enhanced their awareness of health management. They expressed their commitment to putting more energy and focus into their work, with improved physical and mental well-being, and contributing greater strength to HUTB's development.
