Xiangjiang Laboratory Product Launch and "Four-in-One Computation" High-End Forum Held

On January 11, the Xiangjiang Laboratory product launch and the "Four-in-One Computation" (computing data, algorithms, computing power, and computing network) high-end forum were held at the Xiangjiang Lecture Hall in Xiangjiang Building, HUTB.
The event was attended by Chen Fei, Member of the CPC Leading Group and Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, Chen Xiaohong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, and Secretary of the CPC HUTB Committee, Song Junqiang, Academician of CAE and Researcher at the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), Liu Zhongmin, Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Engineering and Deputy Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, Jiang Zuxuan, Member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Director of the Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, Tong Laisheng, Member of the CPC Leading Group and Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Hunan Province, Che Lihua, Member of the CPC Committee and Deputy Director of the Public Security Department of Hunan Province, Liu Guoquan, Executive Deputy Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory, Yi Mianyang, Deputy Director of Xiangjiang Laboratory and Deputy Secretary of the CPC HUTB Committee, Hou Junjun, Member of the CPC HUTB Committee and Vice President of HUTB, and other attendees including Kou Gang and Hu Chunhua, Deputy Directors of Xiangjiang Laboratory. Deputy Director Chen Fei delivered a speech at the conference. He pointed out that the original intention of establishing Xiangjiang Laboratory is to uphold the "Four Orientations," serve the development of the digital economy and the realization of the "Three Highlands, Four New Missions" beautiful blueprint, and promote high-quality economic and social development. He stated that over the past two years, the construction of Xiangjiang Laboratory has progressed steadily with remarkable development achievements, continuously making breakthroughs in technological innovation. Last year, it released 7 original products to the public, and today, it will release 10 innovative products. He warmly congratulated Xiangjiang Laboratory on its outstanding achievements. He pointed out that the digital economy is a key means to drive high-quality development and accelerate the formation of new quality productive forces. Xiangjiang Laboratory has great potential and significant opportunities in the digital economy field. He hopes that under the leadership of Academician Chen Xiaohong, Xiangjiang Laboratory will remain true to its original intention, work hard, and continue to empower the three elements of productivity with cutting-edge science and technology. It should fully transform potential productivity into real productive forces, drive the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and become an emerging industry that keeps pace with the times. It should promote the iteration and upgrading of competitive industries, form leading industry competitiveness, and make emerging industries pillar industries. The laboratory should actively occupy the high ground of future industrial development, advance the industrialization of digital technologies and the digitalization of industries, and promote the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy. In the process of fully implementing the "Three Highlands, Four New Missions" beautiful blueprint, it will make new and greater contributions to driving high-quality economic and social development in Hunan and across the country.
Academician Chen Xiaohong delivered a speech at the conference. She stated that since the establishment of Xiangjiang Laboratory, it has made "new breakthroughs" in scientific and technological research, winning important awards such as the Hunan Province Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award, the He Liang He Li Foundation Science and Technology Progress Award, and the First Prize of the Outstanding Achievement Award for Research in Institutes of Higher Education from the Ministry of Education. The laboratory has continuously deployed and implemented more than 50 research projects and released seven original products. The university has created a "strong magnetic field" to attract and gather talent, forming a research team of more than 600 people, including 48 academicians and over 60 Changjiang Scholars and National Distinguished Young Scholars. The university has unleashed "strong momentum" for innovative development, establishing the "Four-in-One Computation" Industry Alliance and the wholly-owned subsidiary Xiangjiang Intelligent Computing (Hunan) High Tech Development Co., Ltd. It has applied for 224 national invention patents, with 143 patents granted. The university has efficiently coordinated and accelerated its progress, establishing a technological innovation system comprising "24 innovation institutes + 22 research and development centers + 46 academicians and expert PI teams." The university has advanced the integrated reform of the education, science, technology and talent system. Our student innovation teams have won top prizes in competitions such as the China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition, the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition, the Global Campus Artificial Intelligence Algorithm Elite Competition, and the "Challenge Cup" national college students competitions.
Academician Chen Xiaohong pointed out that the 10 original products are the result of the deep integration of cutting-edge technology and real-world needs. They represent new achievements in reaching the peak of technological innovation and serve as a powerful engine for boosting and empowering high-quality economic and social development. The addition of the second batch of member units to the Industry Alliance will further achieve resource sharing, complementary advantages, and win-win cooperation, promoting the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, and leading higher-quality development through a higher level self-reliance and self-improvement in science and technology. She stated that the high-end forum will become the "intellectual source" for industrial innovation and expressed the hope for the guests to speak freely, contribute their wisdom, and discuss the future of digital intelligence.
Deputy Director Tong Laisheng delivered a speech at the meeting. He stated that today, Xiangjiang Laboratory is releasing a series of innovative achievements in fields such as AI large models, smart transportation, smart bio-manufacturing, smart energy, smart cultural tourism, embodied intelligence, low-altitude economy, and industrial intelligence. The laboratory has also invited academicians and experts to discuss new developments in the industry. This not only reflects the laboratory's work in scientific research, education, and social services, but also demonstrates the laboratory's strong responsibility in strengthening cooperation with industries, enterprises, and universities to create knowledge and serve development. He hopes that Xiangjiang Laboratory will continue to better gather advantageous innovation resources from both within and outside the province, strengthen organized research, accelerate breakthroughs in key challenges such as fundamental theories, core algorithms, and specialized software in the fields of advanced computing and artificial intelligence, tackle a batch of critical core technologies, and actively empower the construction of Hunan Province's "4×4" modern industrial system. He also extended his wishes for the complete success of the product launch and the high-end forum.
At the product launch, Xiangjiang Laboratory officially launched ten technological innovation products, including the "Xuanyuan" AI pre-trained models (cultural creation, intelligent manufacturing, pathology), the "Xiangjiang Huitong" high-fidelity urban traffic 3D modeling suite, the "Xiangjiang Xinyuan" fully automated stem cell intelligent preparation system, the "Xiangjiang Zhiban" embodied intelligent home service robot, the "Xiangjiang Tiansu" next-generation intelligent computing acceleration engine, the "Xiangjiang Yihang" low-altitude intelligent unmanned hive platform, the "Xiangjiang Lingzhi" Lingzhi-AI edge intelligence box, the "Xiangjiang Lvneng" green park smart energy comprehensive management and control platform, the "Xiangjiang Zhijian" industrial site abnormal signal detection and positioning system, and the "Xiangjiang Zhiyou" smart Vlog for cultural tourism scenic spots. HUTB has released its latest scientific and technological achievements.

During the co-construction ceremony of the second batch of member units of the "Four-in-One Computation" Industrial Alliance, Academician Chen Xiaohong, along with Che Lihua, Deputy Director of the Public Security Department of Hunan Province, Xu Rong, Deputy General Manager of Hunan Radio, Film and Television Group Co., Ltd., Cao Jianshu, Deputy General Manager of Hunan Energy Group Co., Ltd., Wang Qizhou, R&D Director of Unitree Robotics, Wu Minghua, Legal Representative of Furong Laboratory, Zhou Nianguang, Director of the Technology Department of State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company Limited, Zhong Jiangwei, Senior Director of Lenovo Research, Zheng Jian, General Manager of Valin V-Cloud, Yan Mengkai, Deputy General Manager of Changsha State Owned Holding Group, Liu Yanbo, Executive Director of Xprinter, Liu Lang, Deputy General Manager of CHL Rob, Liu Peijiang, Chief Consultant of Iluvatar CoreX, Peng Peng, Deputy General Manager of the Business Division of Mendale, and Liu Yang, Executive Deputy General Manager of Sandianshui New Energy, along with the heads of 14 other units, jointly pressed the large screen to initiate the co-construction. Academician Chen Xiaohong awarded the crystal cups of the Industrial Alliance partners to the heads of the member units.
During the unveiling ceremony of the new schools at HUTB, Deputy Director Chen Fei, Academician Chen Xiaohong, Academician Song Junqiang, Deputy Director Jiang Zuxuan, Deputy Director Tong Laisheng, Deputy Director Che Lihua, Deputy General Manager Xu Rong, and Deputy General Manager Cao Jianshu jointly unveiled the School of New Energy and New Materials. Deputy Director Chen Fei, Academician Chen Xiaohong, Academician Song Junqiang, Academician Liu Zhongmin, Deputy Director Jiang Zuxuan, Deputy Director Tong Laisheng, Deputy Director Che Lihua, and Dean Zhang Guogang jointly unveiled the newly established School of Intelligent Biological Engineering. Warm applause erupted on the scene.

The keynote speakers shared the latest key technologies and development trends, conveying the most cutting-edge scientific advancements and innovative achievements.
During the conference, Vice Director Chen Fei and the attending guests visited the Xiangjiang Laboratory's technological innovation achievements exhibition, where they enjoyed wonderful musical performances such as "Far Away," "Blue and White Porcelain," "On the Hopeful Field," and "Spring Festival Overture," brought by the scientific workers of Xiangjiang Laboratory and members of the Xiangjiang Laboratory-HUTB "Culture + Technology" Integrated Development Alliance. They highly praised the construction and development achievements of Xiangjiang Laboratory and HUTB in recent years. They also extended wishes for greater future achievements for Xiangjiang Laboratory and HUTB, contributing more to helping Changsha become a global R&D center and Hunan realize the beautiful blueprint of "Three Highlands, Four New Missions." This effort will help to write the chapter of Chinese-style modernization in Hunan.
