Speaker’s Profile:
Tao Zhou is graduated from Shanghai International Studies University. After completing the successive master-doctor program at Fudan University, he successively studied and researched at Graduate School of Keio University in Japan and the School of Hotel Management at Cornell University in the United States, and obtained an MBA from Queen’s University in Canada. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) in Canada. Mr. Zhou Tao is also the first professional outside the United States to obtain the Certified Hotel Asset Manager (CHAM)Qualification.
In addition to his mother tongue Chinese, Mr. Zhou Tao is also fluent in English and Japanese. He serves as the General Manager of Huatian International Hotel Management Company, and Chairman of HAMA China. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the hotel operation management and asset management industry. He has worked for LISTEL International Hotel Group in North America (as the managing director and vice president of a Canadian company) for 16 and a half years. In the spring of 2007, he returned to Asia and served as a leader in the hotel sector for many Fortune 500 companies, including Morgan Stanley (as the chief asset manager), Luneng Group Hotel Management Company under the State Grid (as the CEO), and Country Garden Hotel Group (as the President).
