HUTB Awarded Title of "Outstanding Contribution Unit" in Hunan Youth Campus Football Program

On the afternoon of January 29, the 2024 annual work conference of Hunan Football Association and the 2023 summary and commendation conference were held at the Sport Bureau of Hunan Province.

Through the joint organization and expert evaluation by the Hunan Football Association and the Students Sports Association of Hunan, our university has been recognized as an "Outstanding Contribution Unit" in the youth campus football program in Hunan Province for the year 2023. Only three universities in the entire province have received this honor. At the same time, Teacher Peng Zhiwei, head coach of HUTB women's football team, was named as an "Outstanding Contribution Coach" in the youth campus football program in Hunan Province. This is the second time our university has received this honor since 2022.

With the care and support of CPC HUTB Committee and school leaders, as well as the active efforts of the high-level football coaching team and players, the university's football team won the third place in the Chinese University Beach Football Championship in both 2022 and 2023. In 2023, two team members were selected for the Chinese Women's Five-a-side National Training Team, and both were approved as "Master Sportsman." This recognition of being awarded the “Outstanding Contribution Unit” and individual awards once again reflects the excellent results of our university's "Sports HUTB" construction.
