Chief Leaders Conduct In-depth Classroom Inspections for "First Lesson of Spring Semester"

With the arrival of the new semester in the Year of the Dragon, a journey of wisdom begins. On the morning of February 26, as the classroom bell rang in the teaching building, the "first lesson of the spring semester" officially commenced. Teachers and students started their learning life for the new semester with enthusiasm and high spirits. Chen Xiaohong, Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee, Director of the Xiangjiang Laboratory, and CAE Academician, along with Liao Xiangyue, Deputy Secretary of CPC HUTB Committee and President of HUTB, and all other Chief Leaders went to each teaching building to inspect and guide the work at the beginning of the semester and understand the classroom teaching situation.
Secretary Chen Xiaohong inspected the classroom teaching situation at Zhicheng Building, listened to the "General Chemistry A" course taught by Teacher Bai Aijuan from the School of Resources and Environment, highly praised the overall situation of the "first lesson of the semester" and the good spirit of the teachers and students. She emphasized the importance of course teachers delivering each lesson carefully and provided guiding suggestions for further enhancing classroom teaching in the new semester. Secretary Chen Xiaohong also inspected the daily maintenance of the infrastructure in the teaching buildings. She requested the relevant departments to ensure meticulous management and services, providing a good guarantee for the students and teachers' learning, work, and living.
President Liao Xiangyue listened to the "International Economic Cooperation Theory and Practice A" course taught by Teacher Zhang Hongjian from the School of Economy & Trade, and had discussions with the students and teachers. Other Chief Leaders also entered the classrooms to attend lectures.
In the classroom, the course teachers were punctual and fully prepared, teaching with enthusiasm and clarity. The students had a high attendance rate, listened attentively, and maintained a disciplined yet lively classroom atmosphere, fully demonstrating the positive spirit of hard work, diligence, and progressiveness among the students and faculty of HUTB. Outside the classrooms, various places on campus such as the academies, libraries, study rooms, laboratories, music rooms, and art studios were filled with a strong atmosphere of learning.
In order to ensure the smooth start of the new semester and the normal operation of teaching order, the university has established a teaching inspection working group to conduct a comprehensive inspection of various teaching aspects on the north and south campuses. From the perspective of the inspection results, it is evident that the preparations for the new semester are meticulous, with all operations running in an orderly manner. The teaching equipment is functioning normally, the indoor and outdoor environment of the classrooms is clean, and teaching support measures are in place, presenting a good overall atmosphere and ethos for teaching at the university.
