The university’s 2026 Spring-Summer Sports Season Student Basketball Tournament was recently held. The tournament was hosted by the HUTB Sports and Health Promotion Committee, organized by the School of Sports and Health in collaboration with the HUTB Committee of the CYLC, with support from the Student Basketball Association.

The tournament adopted a “single round-robin group stage plus single-elimination knockout” format, featuring men’s and women’s divisions. 19 teams competed in the men’s bracket and 14 in the women’s. After intense matchups, the School of Sports and Health claimed the men’s championship, while the School of Intelligent Engineering and Manufacturing secured the women’s title.

The tournament stands as a vivid practice of the university’s “health first” philosophy, enriching campus sports culture and providing a platform for basketball enthusiasts to compete and connect. Moving forward, HUTB will continue to advance its “Sunshine Sports” initiative, promote athletic spirit, and encourage students to build robust physiques and temper their willpower through sports, injecting vitality into the development of education.
