Four HUTB Faculty Members Awarded CSC Scholarships
2026-07-09
The China Scholarship Council (CSC) recently announced the 2026 admission results for its high-level visiting scholar, visiting scholar, and postdoctoral fellow programs. Four HUTB faculty members—Zhu Lihua, Deng Xin, Guo Lixia, and Yu Yue—have been granted scholarships to conduct research at the University of Oxford (UK), Kookmin University (South Korea), the University of Freiburg (Germany), and the University of Manchester (UK), respectively. With an acceptance rate of 80%, the university has achieved its best-ever result in this program, fully demonstrating the academic strength and international competitiveness of its faculty.
The CSC high-level visiting scholar, visiting scholar, and postdoctoral fellow programs serve as a crucial national channel for high-level talent cultivation. They aim to support teaching and research staff from domestic universities and research institutions in pursuing advanced studies, collaborative research, and academic exchanges at world-renowned universities, research institutes, and laboratories in developed countries with advanced education and technology systems. This initiative significantly bolsters the internationalization of faculty teams and drives high-quality disciplinary development. The selection process adheres strictly to the principles of openness, fairness, and impartiality, following a procedure of "individual application, institutional recommendation, expert review, and merit-based admission."
In recent years, HUTB has prioritized the international cultivation of its faculty, actively encouraging and supporting applications for CSC programs to broaden academic horizons and enhance global competitiveness. Moving forward, the university will continue to refine its management and support systems for overseas programs, expand international exchange channels, and create more opportunities for faculty to pursue advanced studies at world-class universities and research institutions.
