CPC HUTB Committee Secretary Liao Zhikun Leads Delegation to Rednet and Tianhe Media for Industry Visits and Partnership Talks
On the afternoon of May 21, Liao Zhikun, Secretary of the CPC HUTB Committee, led a delegation to Hunan Rednet New Media Group and Hunan Tianhe Zhizao Cultural Media Co., Ltd. to conduct industry visits aimed at expanding graduate employment pathways and negotiating university-enterprise cooperation. Accompanying him were heads of the Personnel Division, the Employment Guidance Division, and the School of Literature and Digital Communication.
At Hunan Rednet New Media Group, Liao Zhikun and his delegation toured the converged media command center and content production platforms, gaining detailed insights into Rednet’s achievements in media convergence. During the symposium, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the systemic transformation of mainstream media in the convergence era, the distinct advantages of CPC-run newspapers and news websites, and the new demands that artificial intelligence (AI) places on media talent cultivation.
Liao emphasized that AI and digital technologies are profoundly reshaping the media landscape. He stressed that university media talent training must keep pace with these industry shifts and deepen industry-education integration. He expressed hope that both parties would continuously enhance their collaboration, promoting joint curriculum development, faculty resource sharing, and cooperative research projects to cultivate high-caliber, application-oriented communication talents who meet the demands of the omnimedia era.
He Yongxiang, CPC Secretary and Chairman of Hunan Rednet New Media Group, affirmed the group’s commitment to leveraging its platform strengths for pragmatic cooperation with HUTB in talent cultivation, content co-creation, and research initiatives. Following the discussions, both parties signed a cooperation agreement for employment and internship bases and held an official plaque-awarding ceremony.
At Hunan Tianhe Zhizao Cultural Media Co., Ltd., Liao Zhikun and his delegation toured the post-production suites and digital content production lines, exchanging views with company executives. Mao Youquan, the company’s founder and CEO, outlined Tianhe Media’s development trajectory and talent demands, expressing his willingness to engage in deep collaboration with HUTB to jointly cultivate application-oriented talents urgently needed by the digital content industry.
Liao stressed the need for both parties to pragmatically advance the joint establishment of internship bases, co-development of specialized courses, and collaborative creation of industry projects, thereby achieving complementary strengths and mutual success. Lv Huanbin, former Director of Hunan Broadcasting System and a distinguished talent recruitment expert at HUTB, attended the event as a special guest. Following the discussions, both parties signed a university-enterprise cooperation agreement and held an official plaque-awarding ceremony.
This visit marks a pragmatic step in HUTB’s dedicated campaign to “expand employment pathways through enterprise engagement” and deepen industry-education integration for collaborative talent cultivation. In recent years, the School of Literature and Digital Communication has actively pursued strategic partnerships with industry leaders. By establishing modern industrial colleges and strengthening industry-academia-research synergy, the school focuses on cultivating high-caliber, digital-era media talents who are “technologically proficient, communicatively adept, and innovative.” These efforts are designed to comprehensively boost high-quality graduate employment while driving the optimization and upgrading of academic disciplines and programs.
