CPC HUTB Committee Secretary Liao Zhikun Leads Delegation to Xianghuajing Village for Rural Revitalization Survey
From July 2 to 3, Liao Zhikun, Secretary of the CPC HUTB Committee, led a delegation to Xianghuajing Village, Lanxi Yao Ethnic Township, Jiangyong County, to survey and guide rural revitalization work. Li Qunhui, Secretary of the CPC Jiangyong County Committee; Yu Siyang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jiangyong County Committee and County Governor; Qian Jianhong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangyong County Committee and Director of the County Committee Office; and Huang Huibo, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Organization Department of the CPC Jiangyong County Committee, accompanied the delegation during the survey.
Liao and his delegation inspected the Taohua Valley Ecological Scenic Area, the Xianghuajing Village Industrial Loop Road, the Tourist Center of the National AAA-level Scenic Area, the work team’s office, and their living quarters. They also visited and offered regards to the paired assistance and monitored households. During the survey, Secretary Liao listened attentively to briefings on the development of the peach industry and tourism in Xianghuajing Village, and commended the village’s achievements in building these sectors. At the homes of the paired assistance and monitored households, he inquired in detail about their production, daily lives, income sources, and the implementation of support policies, encouraging them to stay confident and strive for prosperity through hard work. He also issued specific instructions for the work team’s follow-up assistance efforts.
Subsequently, all participants held a survey symposium at the meeting room of the Xianghuajing Village Party-Mass Service Center. At the symposium, Jiangyong County leaders extended a warm welcome to Secretary Liao and his delegation for their visit, expressed gratitude to HUTB for its strong support for rural revitalization, and fully acknowledged the achievements of the resident rural revitalization work team. He Jiwang, CPC Secretary of the Xianghuajing Village General Party Branch, introduced the village’s basic conditions and the development of its peach industry. Peng Yichao, head of the resident rural revitalization work team, reported on the team’s assistance work and its next-step development plan.
After carefully listening to the reports, Liao fully acknowledged the achievements made in rural revitalization in Xianghuajing Village and the resident work team’s dedication to the grassroots and proactive efforts. He pointed out that it is essential to uphold CPC leadership, fully leverage the role of primary-level Party organizations as battle fortresses, consolidate the foundation of primary-level governance, and pool synergy for rural revitalization. He notes that comprehensively advancing rural revitalization is a systematic project. It is necessary to unify goal orientation and problem orientation, focus on key tasks, and remain committed to a blueprint that is carried through to the end—addressing specific issues at each stage—to continuously drive rural revitalization to achieve new results. “Ten thousand mu of fragrant peaches newly planted; the water of Xianghuajing is sweeter than honey.” He emphasized that the village should leverage its resource endowments to continuously optimize and strengthen its characteristic peach industry. It should adhere to green development, enhance product quality and brand value, rely on new business forms such as e-commerce live streaming to expand domestic and international sales channels, and constantly boost the competitiveness of the industry. He stressed the need to deeply explore the distinctive cultural resources of Xianghuajing Village and tell the spiritual stories of striving for prosperity through rural revitalization. He stated that the university will leverage its resources to secure policy, project, and other forms of support for the village, accelerate the deep integration of village industries with culture and tourism, and achieve high-quality, sustainable development.
Zhao Hua, Member of the CPC HUTB Committee and Vice President, together with heads of the CPC HUTB Committee Office and Principal Office and the Organization Department, joined the survey.
