2024-07-05

On June 29, HUTB held its 2024 Campus Open Day and Admissions Consultation Fair on the third floor of Chufeng Academy. The event aimed to provide prospective students and parents with an in-depth understanding of the university, while showcasing its distinctive features and strengths.

At 9 a.m., a large number of prospective students, accompanied by their parents, arrived to "inquire about their future." They engaged in face-to-face discussions with teachers from the university’s relevant functional departments and the Undergraduate School. The students and parents listened attentively, and their questions were patiently answered by the staff on-site.

It is understood that this year's admissions consultation meeting featured over fifty specialized teachers providing answers. The consultation team, composed of the Undergraduate School and various schools, offered a "one-stop" service for students and parents by patiently and thoroughly addressing their questions about admission policies, program strengths, talent cultivation, and student loans .

To give students and parents a clearer understanding of the university, the university carefully prepared admissions brochures and signage, detailing its features and highlights. The atmosphere was lively and interactive, with students and parents expressing a positive impression and excitement about the university.

During the consultation meeting, the latest developments and admission plans of the university were introduced to students and parents. Admissions staff engaged in an in-depth discussion with them, sharing the university’s educational philosophy and achievements. Many students also expressed a strong desire to attend HUTB.

Mr. Liu, a teacher from Changsha, came today with his niece to inquire about the special programs at HUTB. He said, “Whether in terms of research or campus environment, HUTB is an excellent institution. After considering my niece's interests and future career direction, I believe that the accounting program at HUTB would be a great choice.” Liu, who chose the combination of Physics, Biology, and Geography for the collage entrance examination, was drawn to the campus environment at HUTB. He said, “The newly built dormitories at HUTB are very appealing. After considering factors like location and special programs, I decided to visit in person to learn more.”

It is reported that HUTB has 61 majors this year. The undergraduate admission plan has increased from 6,410 to 6,710 students, with enrollment covering 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the Central Government. The ratio of in-province to out-of-province admission plans is approximately 8:2, with over 5,000 spots allocated for in-province students. To attract more outstanding students, the university offers admission incentives, national and local special programs for students from Hunan Province, Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, and flexible policies for changing majors. Additionally, the university has strengthened career guidance, deepened its engagement with the job market, and optimized employment and entrepreneurship services. As a result, the university achieves “four highs” in student employment and entrepreneurship: high graduation destination confirmation rate, high employment quality, high satisfaction, and high enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship.

The successful holding of this campus open day and admission consultation fair provided an opportunity for students and parents to gain a comprehensive understanding of the university, further enhancing the university's reputation and influence. (Written by Li Yang and photo by Xiang Mingjie)
