Professor Li Renfa from Hunan University Guides the Certification of Engineering Education

On the morning of October 16, School of Computer Science & Information Engineering held a seminar on the certification of engineering education in the academic seminar room of Economic Management Complex, where Professor Li Renfa, former Dean of the School of Information Science and Engineering of Hunan University, was invited to provide the guidance, and the seminar was attended by PartySecretary Yu Shaoqian, Vice Deans Li Xiaolong, Xiong Shuchu and He Dian, and full-time teachers of Computer Department and Software Engineering Department and presided over by Vice Dean Li Xiaolong.

The heads of Computer Department and Software Engineering Department respectively introduced the writing of certification declaration and the preparation of supporting materials for the majors of Computer Science & Technology and the Software Engineering.

Professor Li Renfa introduced the present situation and importance of the certification for the discipline of Engineering Education, and analyzed in detail the problems existing in the application materials of the two majors, such as the logical relationship between the training objectives and the support matrix, and put forward some suggestions for revision. The participating teachers had an in-depth exchange and discussion with Professor Li Renfa in view of the difficulties encountered in the process of material sorting.

Finally, PartySecretary Yu Shaoqian summarized the meeting and believed that the meeting would contribute to the further improvement of the application materials of and lay a solid foundation for the certification for the discipline of Engineering Education. He hoped that teachers would learn from successful experiences, further refine and improve the materials as required, and ensure the good results of certification.
