School of Law & Public Administration and the Law School of Xiangtan University jointly hold an Exchange Meeting of Reading Experiences

On the afternoon of May 11, the exchange meeting of reading experiences jointly organized by the School of Law & Public Administration and the Law School of Xiangtan University was held in Conference Room 301 in the No.2 Office Building, presided over by Vice Dean, Gong Zhijun, and attended by teachers and representatives of Class 2023graduate students from the School of Law & Public Administration, Professor Huang Mingru and team of students from the Law School of Xiangtan University.

In the exhibition session of exchange meeting, Professor Huang Mingru and students team took the "combating mistakes in Criminal Law" as the theme. The meeting was presided over by the team member Gao Jie, and Xu Yisha and other three students gave the lecture, and Liu Tao and other two students added comments. Xu Yisha shared the paper On the Distinction between Wrong Objects and Combating Errors in Understanding Mistakes in Specific Facts, and described the difference by raising questions and solving problems. Xiao Yuhan shared the article On the Imputation Principle of Specific Combating Errors, summarized the different views on the imputation principle of specific combating errors in the current academic community, and put forward his own views in the process, with clear arguments and views. Cao Peihao shared his personal reading notes entitled Same Theory of Social Harmfulness: A New Perspective of Observing the Combating Errorsto tell the different viewpoints he read from the papers, put forward the shortcomings of some research paths of papers, and interpret the paper Refinement and Correction of Judicial Determination Standards for Combating Errors.

The participating teachers and students conducted a full exchange and discussion at the appraisal and comment sessions.

Finally, Liu Qixiang, Dean of School of Law & Public Administration, said that the exchange meeting is not only a reading report demonstration brought by the team of Professor Huang Mingru, but also the first exchange meeting held by the school. He also expressed the hope that the teachers will seriously learn how to organize the good exchange meeting and students will learn how to read the documents, read more original monographs, further expand their field of view and improve their academic research level.
