The semi-final included work presentation, case analysis, and questions from judges. In the first two parts, the contestants made excellent performance, and in the final, they displayed perfect comprehensive qualities and adapting abilities.
This competition aims to cultivate innovative foreign communication talents in response to Hunan’s strategic thought of “rise by innovation-led opening up” in line with the national strategy. The competition serves as a platform to implement the higher education reform required by the Ministry of Education and to improve students’ core literacy according to the national standards and basic requirements on undergraduate talent training quality. This competition helps to promote teaching and learning. It creates a good atmosphere for intercultural teaching and learning, enhances the effectiveness of English teaching and learning in universities, and raises students' cross-cultural sensitivity. Through this competition, students can develop their abilities of analyzing and solving problems from the perspective of cultural differences and keep improving themselves, to meet the national and social needs for foreign language talents with international vision and intercultural competence.
