School of Accounting Holds Seminar on National Project Application and Academic Paper Refinement

On the afternoon of November 17, the School of Accounting held a seminar on national project application and academic paper refinement in its conference room. The meeting was presided over by Dean Liu Jianqiu and attended by professors and doctors from the school.

 


At the meeting, Dr. Peng Aiwu, Dr. Long Li and Dr. Shui Huili respectively reported the information on their academic papers to be published and their national project application letters. Other doctors like Yan Caiyu, Wang Wen, Liu Jianqiu, Zhang Yan and Huang Zheng made comments. The reporting teachers made full preparations and meticulously introduced the research background, literature review, regression model, research value and relevant conclusions of their papers and projects; the commenting teachers carefully analyzed the problems in these report articles and project application letters. These teachers frankly spoke out their opinions, making the seminar an academic platform for mutual exchange and complementarity as well as paper refinement with common efforts.

 

Dean Liu Jianqiu emphasized that to further improve the School of Accounting’s overall quality of moral education and talent cultivation and to promote the development of “Double First-class” Initiative, the School should make efforts in the three aspects. First, it should regularly hold various academic seminars and teaching exchanges to fully play the advantages in “research cooperation” and “teaching cooperation”; it should improve the faculty’s overall teaching and research quality and make it the norm. By doing so, the School should actively create a teaching and research atmosphere featuring mutual exchange, experience sharing, mutual learning, and common progress. Second, the School should create conditions to organize national and regional academic exchange conferences to build a platform for the construction of “Double First-class” Initiative and for teachers’ growth. Third, all teachers, especially young teachers, should be encouraged to strengthen their own learning, cultivate their teaching morality, and responsibly fulfill their missions. They should follow the concept of “curriculum ideological and political education”, improve their abilities in moral education and talent cultivation, and work together to build a world-leading “School of Accounting”.
