“Reading a Book with the President” Cloud Video Sharing Session Organized by School of Computer and Information Engineering

The special reportentitled asWhile Reading These Books, I Have a Boiling Dreamhas sparked a heated discussion among the students of School of Computer and Information Engineering. On the evening of may 29, Youth League Sub-committeeof the Schoollaunched a “Readinga Book with the President” cloud video sharing session, 35 student Party members and excellent Youth League members took partin the activity.
The students attending the meeting actively talkedabout their feelings andexperiences in reading. Chen Zhifei, deputy secretary of Youth League Sub-committeeof the School, said that the president’s perception on reading was full of dry cargo,giving young people the opportunity in which personal values collideknowledge attainment. After listening to the president’s perception on reading, shefelt full of energy, and her life dreamwas further inspired, that is, working hard to complete the professional studies, improve personal knowledge attainmentandrealize personal values, and striving for the Chinese dream. The two students Hu Tao and Xiao Minghui talked about their feelings about reading the book entitled How the Steel Was Tempered. They believed that the meaning of life does not consist in length,but in value and connotation. Student Yang Hongji have new feelings and experiences on the spirit of “atomic and hydrogenbombsand man-made satellite”,the spirit of the Long March and the spirit of innovation. Student Chen Shilin said that scientists’self-worth realizationis essentially inseparable from the national development. Their success depends on their adherence to the path they believe in and strong heart. The students said one after another that the activity“reading a book with the president” has benefited them greatly and made the meaning of reading clearer. Like a lighthouse, President Chen Xiaohong’s perception on reading has pointed out the direction of reading and learning for them.
