Professor Tang Yong, Dean of the School of Computer Science, South China Normal University Gives a Lecture

From October 14 to 15, Professor Tang Yong, Dean of the School of Computer Science of South China normal University, was invited to attend the seminar on the construction of master's degree in software engineering and give an academic report.

On the evening of October 14, Professor Tang gave an academic lecture entitled "Social Network and Big Data Intelligence Research and Practice" for teachers and students of the School of Computer and Information Engineering in the 301 Lecture Hall of the second office building. The lecture was presided over by Professor Hu Chunhua.

In his report, Professor Tang discussed the relationship between social networks and big data, analyzed the topics related to the research and application of big data in social networks, focusing on the self-developed academic social network SCHOLAT (Scholar Network) as the background, and introduced the research, application practice and talent training of big data in SCHOLAT education. Everyone had a heated discussion and exchange on the architecture design of social network systems, big data's privacy protection and the application of intelligent technology in big data.

On the morning of October 15, Professor Tang attended the seminar on the construction of master's degree in software engineering in the conference room 401 of the second office building. He shared his valuable experience in successfully applying for first-class master's degree programs, first-class doctoral programs and postdoctoral research stations for software engineering major in South China Normal University within ten years. At the same time, he pointed out that the construction of academic degree should pay attention to four aspects: talent team construction, platform construction, enrollment index and talent training.
