School of Business Administration Held Medium-size Job Fair for Graduates

In order to broaden employment channels and provide more employment opportunities for graduates, a special job fair for marketing specialty and a medium-size job fair for business administration specialty undertaken by School of Business Administration were held at the hall on the 1st floor of laboratory building of our university on November 5.

33 enterprises took part in the special job fair for marketing specialty in the morning, including GRAND JIAXING, PING AN Puhui, Tianhe Drilling Tools, Winston Education, Qianhaizhifu, Wanhui Network Technology, and other economically reinforced enterprises. 30 enterprises participated in the medium-size job fair for business administration specialty held in the afternoon, Including Ganji.com, SENDKING FINANCIAL GROUP, China Resources, JIACI, UMF, DOVE, Xiangjiao Publishing, Longfor Property and other well-known enterprises in the industry. Job fair posts covered marketing representative, financial intern, assistant personnel officer, designer assistant, accounting assistant, internet front-end engineer, administrative clerk, operation management trainees, etc.

The job fair was in apple-pie order. There were graduates carrying out consultation in front of each enterprise booth. These graduates carried resumes carefully prepared, confidently went through the stream of people, actively communicated with recruiters and proactively knew about the employer's situation with good interaction with employers.

Enterprises participating in the job fair felt satisfied, and hoped to strengthen contact with the university, and further carry out university-industry cooperation and build practical training and employment base to realize reserve of talents for enterprises in advance and establish a practical platform for graduates. Meanwhile, we had found most enterprises made higher requests on graduates' comprehensive caliber, practical experience, executive capacity and learning & creative ability in the process of subsequent communication with enterprises. According to employer's talent demand and satisfaction survey questionnaire during the later period, the university discovered some disadvantages happening to graduates: Firstly, they lacked interviewing skills and failed to display their excellence under the best state; Secondly, their expectation about employment was too high, and many graduates' wage expectation was too high, and they blindly pursued good treatment and didn't pay attention to accumulation of basic knowledge; Thirdly, Their career planning and career direction were not clear. All above disadvantages would become work direction for employment guidance of our university.

It's reported that for holding the job fair well, recruitment office department of School of Business Administration made careful preparation in advance and formulated thorough work plan, which made this job fair successfully held. This job fair not only made graduates deeply know that they must learn professional and technical knowledge if they wanted to gain an ideal job and they shall enrich their social practice experience when possessing solid foundation, but also provided graduates many employment opportunities and relieved graduates' employment pressure.
