Teaching Seminar of School of Economics and Trade Was Smoothly Held

On the afternoon of October 25, the teaching seminar of School of Economics and Trade was held at Room E103. Executive deputy deans of School of Economics and Trade Peng Bingzhong and Luo Shuanglin and partial teachers attended it. This seminar was presided over by the deputy dean Luo Shuanglin. Firstly, open teaching classes by two excellent young teachers - Li Na and Wang Juan were listened by everyone, and then everyone expressed their opinions about the open teaching classes and teaching by other several teachers by combining course features of School of Economics and Trade.

Deputy dean Luo Shuanglin explained the reason why the above two teachers were chosen to give open teaching class was that these two teachers won a prize in the provincial level teaching competition and their unique teaching features were worthy of being learnt and researched by us. Dean Luo encouraged everyone to take an active part in various teaching competitions and emphasized the importance of improvement of teaching level to each teacher. She said that a teacher must be in possession of a profound theoretical level and strict teaching style.

And then, all teachers from School of Economics and Trade expressed their own opinions regarding open teaching classes. Teacher Deng Bosheng said that the above two teachers were deserved to carry off a prize; Teacher Hou Xiangqun praised teacher Li Na's strict theory logic and teacher Wang Juan's appetency; Teacher Yin Xiangfei said he would learn from the above two teachers; Teacher Zheng Houjian explained that we shall emphatically research how to make university teaching as same as "high school teaching" and how to make undergraduate teaching as the same as "postgraduate teaching", discuss which one was more important between form and content and pay attention to fusion between teacher and students.

In the end, executive deputy dean Peng Bingzhong made a summary for this teaching seminar. He said that teaching of colleges and universities shall keep up with pace of times, and the teacher's teaching shall also pay attention to combining tradition and innovation. All teachers shall always ask themselves that whether they had made adequate preparations before the class, and whether they had been careful and responsible and they had undertaken teachers' responsibility and mission when teaching students.
