School of Economics and Trade Held the 54th ”Lushan Schoolfellow Entrepreneur” Forum

On the evening of October 10, School of Economics and Trade successfully held the 54th Lushan Schoolfellow Entrepreneur - "innovative thinking of indeterminate world" at the F101 moot court of Lezhi building. The speaker of this forum was the international trade major schoolfellow Chen Nengjun who graduated in 2000 from our university and was the economics doctor of Renmin University of China and theoretical economics postdoctor of Shenzhen University. Assistant dean of School of Economics and Trade Luo Shuanglin participated in the forum.
Doctor Chen Nengjun firstly talked about a literary work- A Tale of Two Cities written by Dickens, and then started to narrate the era where we were by virtue of derivatization from this literary work. In the era, how to think, how to keep pace with the times and how to play their value by contemporary college students became issues of the present era. After putting forward the above questions, doctor Chen Nengjun brought the topic to economy and said that today's economy shall be thought based on questioning. In the process of thinking about economy, doctor Chen Nengjun told the following examples: Li Jiacheng's life course, British Brexit event, currency devaluation of many countries, etc. He told the following three main points to brother-sister-school students by virtue of the above examples: The first point was development, your development space should be thought as per subtle events around you; The second point was practice, theoretical practice and innovation should be combined in life; The third point was mentality, no matter what position you reached, you should not overestimate yourself. At the end of the lecture, doctor Chen Nengjun "cheered up" brother-sister-school students and said "as long as you have confident mental state and self-control ability, I believe that your energy is much larger than ours.
Doctor Chen Nengjun's wonderful speech made students encouraged. Some freshmen just coming to university may feel self-abased and down-hearted due to excellent students around him/her, but they could have a bright future if they had courage and a good mental state.
