The Second Session of Graduate Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum was Held Successfully

On the evening of June 16, the second session of graduate students’ innovation and entrepreneurship forum of our university was held successfully. The Graduate School invited Professor Teng Zhaosheng who is the doctoral supervisor of Hunan University to share a theme around the “Informal Discussion on Entrepreneurship” with all graduates and partial undergraduates from School of Computer Science & Information Technology. The lecture was presided over by Professor Zhou Xiancheng, the dean of the Graduate School.
Professor Teng Zhaosheng shared the topics with all students in four aspects - “which kind of people are suitable for entrepreneurship”, “in what age stage they are suitable for entrepreneurship”, “which kind of people is suitable for joint entrepreneurship” and “what to do for entrepreneurship”. He thought that seven kinds of people were suitable for entrepreneurship such as “people pursuing new knowledge and trend”, “people working hard”, “people having strong self-management ability”, etc.; he took the experience of some entrepreneurs such as Michael Dell, Bill Gates, Jobs, Chu Shijian, etc. as the example, thought that any stage in the lifetime could choose entrepreneurship, and the most suitable age was about 35; He thought that eight kinds of people were suitable for becoming the entrepreneurship partners, such as “people who are open-minded”, “people who are easily contented”, “people who are good at giving advises”, etc.; He suggested that the entrepreneurship of young students shall possess “three special aspects” - features, characteristics and specialty.
Finally, Professor Zhou Xiancheng, the dean of the Graduate School, made the summary for this forum. He pointed out that professor Teng’s lecture was lively and vivid, conformed to the actual needs of the contemporary young students, and put forward very good opinions and suggestions for our graduate students to participate in the innovation and entrepreneurship, and hoped that all attended graduate students and undergraduate students could give a serious thinking in combination with the lecture contents of professor Teng, and actively carry out the training of practical ability and accomplishment and improve the comprehensive caliber according to their own situation, making the preparation for the future development.
