MOOC Training Organized in Our University

After strict selection, ten MOOC courses are introduced in our university this semester. On February 28th  morning, in order to let teachers effectively employ MOOC courses in teaching, Teaching Affairs Division organized off-line MOOC faculties to give a training course of MOOC in Building Lezhi with about 30 teacher attendants. Experts of Superstar Ear Education Technology Limited made explications of the basic operation of MOOC platform and its technology, experts also shared their experience of MOOC design.

MOOC, which means massive open online courses, is a new mode of online courses having emerged recently. Through this new mode, teachers’ rethinking on teaching will be stimulated, the exploration and research of teaching mode will be strengthened; meanwhile, students’ change of position will be promoted and their efficiency of study will be improved. At present there are 11 online courses in our university including newly purchased 10 online courses and the already used one “Innovation and Entrepreneurship X” in order to innovate teaching modes, to share teaching resources of better quality and to enhance the quality of personnel training. In the future, more online courses will be selected for teaching according to our university’s needs. (He Yi from Teaching Affairs Division)
