Modern Education Technology Center Took Part in “Teaching Reform in Digital Times” Seminar

On June 5th , the seminar of “Teaching Reform in Digital Times”

organized by Beijing Chaoxingerya Education Technology Co., Ltd, was held in Wenhua Hotel in Wanda Square in Changsha city. Present in the seminar were leaders, teachers, and news media reporters for a total of more than 800 people from dozens of colleges and universities in Hunan province. Professor Shi Liangwu, deputy director of the Modern Education Technology Center of our school, and members of Multimedia Department, Liu Ning, Zhang Meng, Zhu Hai, Liu Jin and Huang Chaoyi, were invited to attend the meeting.

In the seminar, a great number of special reports won the enthusiastic response of the attendees. For example, professor Jiang Yulong from Fudan University made a report entitled To Build MOOC and Flip the Classroom based on MOOC of Semiconductor Physics; professor Yuan Difei, deputy director in School of Journalism and Communication from Hunan University delivered a speech entitled MOOC of Modern Etiquette Changes the Way I Teach; professor Li Xiaoming, director of Modern Education Technology Center in Changsha University of Science and Technology made a report entitled Successful Network Teaching Reform of Changsha University of Science and Technology Based on MOOC Platform; professor Wang Xiaodong , deputy director of Teaching Affairs Division in Ningbo University made a report entitled MOOC Construction in Ningbo University ; professor Wang Zhiming, director of Teaching Affairs Division in Dongguan Vocational and Technical College made a report entitled A Creative Application of A New Teaching Platform

Deputy general Liu Qiang gave a report entitled Practice and Exploration of Teaching Reform in Higher Education under the Guideline of Internet Plus, analyzed spirit of Educational Ministry from its Suggestions of Enhancing Online Course Building and Management in Higher Education, introduced domestic online course building and made a deep analysis of the company’s concept and cooperation mode. Deputy general Yu Luming shared his experience of MOOC building and application. Product manager Song Ying analyzed a specific case in Fanya Higher Education.

With theoretical exploration, case study, technological application, product exhibition and interactions, the attendants deeply understood concepts, platform, resources and services of “digital age” and learned advanced teaching theory and practical experiences. This conference played an active role in promoting teaching reform in Hunan higher education and in inspiring both teachers’ and students’ enthusiasm and interest.
