School of Finance and Banking Held Mobilization Meeting of Creating Positive Learning Atmosphere and Carrying out Strict Examination Discipline

Recently, School of Finance and Banking held a mobilization meeting of creating positive learning atmosphere and carrying out strict exam discipline. All the faculty members including teachers and freshman to junior students attended the meeting.

Deputy secretary of Party branch Gao Junjie made a speech which emphasized the importance of the exam discipline, analyzed the primary cause of the poor exam atmosphere. He said that the school would further the effort in carrying out a stricter exam discipline.

Secretary of Party branch Liu Saihong made a speech, emphasizing the importance of honesty throughout one’s life. He advocated that we should start from ourselves immediately and strictly observe honesty principle in exams.

Deputy dean Cao Qiuju expounded that in order to strengthen the academic atmosphere, carefully observe exam discipline, school would introduce some strict new regulations, and hoped those students who got the A or B level warning or failed in examinations didn’t get discouraged,  instead they should cheer up, overcome all difficulties, and strive to complete their studies. Those students who had cheated in the exam or  disobeyed the discipline should learn a lesson and be an honest man. Outstanding students should guard against arrogance and rashness, and set examples in helping other ones.

Xu Qing from Banking Class 1301 and Yu Chang from Banking Class 1201 shared their learning experience as representatives.

In view of the present situation about the examination in School of Finance and Banking, Dean Ouyang Zisheng put forward some requirements in his summary statement: teachers should start from their own to actively organize the classroom teaching, strictly check on students’ attendance, and make exam discipline more serious. Tutors and headteachers should strengthen the management of the students, concern the trouble-maker student in time and strengthen the communication and contact with the students' parents. Students should keep positive attitude towards learning, set appropriate goals, study hard and practice more.

This mobilization meeting helped the majority of students deeply realize the importance of learning and being honest; it also gave a clear direction for students in their future learning and life.
