Yi Yumei, Deputy Director of Admission and Employment Guidance Office of HUTB, said that the employment situation of university graduates was very grim this year due to the impact of the novel coronavirus pneumonia. HUTB regards employment as the top priority, and tries to take all measures to expand job market, strengthen employment guidance and create employment services, and has carried out“One-hundred Day Employment Activity”since mid-May to help graduates“graduate smoothly and get employment as soon as possible".

1.The first one is theall-roundmarket development. In the face of the impact of the epidemic situation, HUTB shall open up the job market and provide employment information. All university leaders, employees, Party member teachers and common workers contribute their ideas and participate in the employment service. School of Computer Science & Information Technology fully taps the resources of the faculty and alumni, make every effort to contact employers, and promote the construction of professional and industrial job market. Up to now, the School has contacted 52 employers, organized 24 special job fairs and provided 204 recruitment messages. School of Tourism Management makes full use of the affinity of thesis defense tutors and the resources of the enterprises to help students communicate with enterprises in depth, so as to increase the employment rate by 15% in a week. School of International Business mobilizes the parents of students to build a“three-dimensional interactive platform”for students, parents and teachers to participate in the employment service, and strives to achieve an employment rate of 90% before students graduate. School of Accounting actively promotes the Party member teachers to find jobs for graduates, and Design & Art Institute proposes that each Party member faculty shall help two unemployed students, achieving better results.

2. The second one is thecloud-basedsupply and demand docking. By adopting the cloud-based double selection, cloud-based campus recruitment and other innovative recruitment methods, HUTB created conditions for employers to recruit talents and reduce the adverse impact of the epidemic situation on employment. By the end of May, HUTB had held 20 special cloud lectures, with 20 enterprises participated. They provided 96 posts, and planned to recruit 3,253 employees. HUTB had held 10“cloud-based”double-channel choosing meeting, with 1,045 enterprises participated. They provided 3,885 posts, and planned to recruit 63,493 employees. HUTB had held 1 online job fair with the theme of“defeating the epidemic and keeping employment stable", with 319 enterprises participated. They provided 2,279 posts, and planned to recruit 12,845 employees. Next, HUTB will hold 12 online medium and large-scale recruitment activities, introduce the“24365”of the Ministry of Education, Zhaopin, cloud employment and other platforms, and hold online job fairs every week to provide full jobs for graduates. In order to ensure the results of the job fair, HUTB implements the system of punch-in and sign-in, and requires the unemployed graduates to attend the job fair and deliver their resumes.

3. The third one is thepreciseemployment service. In addition to the impact of the epidemic situation, the prevailing mental state of the“delayed employment”among graduates is also one of the factors hindering the employment. For this reason, HUTB vigorously carries out online employment guidance activities, and each School holds a weekly video conference for the unemployed graduates of the graduating class to carry out centralized guidance, forming the atmosphere of active employment through one-to-one personal guidance such as telephone, QQ and WeChat, etc. School of Tourism Management of HUTB adheres to the guidance of“employing first, then selecting, and encouraging entrepreneurship", carries out the employment guidance in different levels and classifications, strives to achieve leading employment of student Party members, and achieves full employment of poverty-stricken students, Hubei students, and students applying for assistance. School of Literature and Journalism of HUTB conducted a survey on the students' employment intention when they entered the junior year to initially understand their employment intentions, establish records by major, and carry out the targeted employment guidance and assistance.
