On behalf of Cambridge University Students' Union, Dr. Zhu Lihua participated in the thematic activity and photo exhibition entitled “Brilliant Course” for the 40th Anniversary of China Reform and Opening-up in the central auditorium of Westminster City, London.

Dr. Zhu Lihua is an associate professor of the Foreign Languages School of HNUC, a doctor of literature, a visiting scholar to Cambridge University, and an academic researcher of Case Western Reserve University in the United States. Dr. Zhu Lihua is mainly engaged in linguistics and language teaching, cross-cultural communication, and research on foreign cultural communication. She worked diligently on the academic road, presided over 12 scientific research projects at provincial and ministerial levels, published a monograph, contrast and Translation of English and Chinese languages, compiled three textbooks, and published more than 30 academic papers.

From February 2018 to February 2019, Dr. Zhu Lihua received financial support from the National Study Abroad Fund Committee and went to Cambridge University to study. During her stay at Cambridge University, she had many conversations with her tutor on language and acquisition items, attended many international conferences, academic lectures and salons, and delivered speeches. She shouldered the responsibility of spreading Chinese culture and fulfilled the mission of a cultural envoy. Dr. Zhu Lihua spared no effort to promote cultural exchanges between China and Britain, so that the flower of Chinese culture could be blossomed in Cambridge, the highland of world civilization, showing the broad mind of Chinese culture and the perseverance of Chinese university teachers.

Embracing colorful and bright cultures in the world, introducing Chinese culture to the west with her enthusiasm, Dr. Zhu Lihua is a real cultural envoy. As a volunteer, she has actively participated in a series of promotion activities of Chinese culture in the British community at CFT Chinese School in Cambridge, and introduced Chinese traditional culture such as Chinese studies, embroidery and cooking to the community and foreign researchers in order to make more foreign ethnic groups understand China and Chinese culture. In her view, Chinese is the root of the Chinese people and the soul of the Chinese nation. CFT Chinese School is a public welfare organization, which mainly promotes Chinese culture such as Chinese calligraphy and Chinese painting. Dr. Zhu participated in various activities of Chinese School to inherit and carry forward Chinese culture, aiming at promoting overseas Chinese to remember China and strive for success. Using her professional knowledge, Dr. Zhu has held many discussions and exchanges with teachers in Chinese schools, has conducted in-depth discussions with teachers in Chinese schools on the teaching of Chinese language and the characteristics of English students' Chinese habits, has put forward valuable suggestions for Chinese language teaching in Chinese schools and has offered a series of reports on Chinese culture topics to students. Her reports on “China's National Treasure Panda”, “Cultural Significance of Chinese Characters” and “China Lantern Festival” have aroused widespread interest among local students and the community. Dr. Zhu Lihua made English children in Cambridge learn about China’s 5,000-year-old history and splendid culture by learning Chinese, which made them have a strong interest to China.

As a cultural emissary, Dr. Zhu did not worry about his weak body, but took an active part in all kinds of competitions with great vigorous. She is the main force of the dragon boat race of the Cambridge community Chinese women's team and participated in the dragon boat race of the 2018 Dragon Boat Festival in Cambridge. At the Dragon Boat Festival in Cambridge, celebrities from all walks of life, including representatives of the Queen’s royal family, the county magistrate of Cambridge and the vice-chancellor of Cambridge University, gathered at the festival to celebrate the traditional Chinese festival with the Cambridge Chinese people. The 16 dragon boat teams competed with each other and showed their talents: Cambridge University Team and Oxford University Team competed in dragon boat races; There are dragon boat teams PK led by the mayor and former mayor of Cambridge respectively. There is fierce competition among the fleets of “China Huawei” and “China Panda”. Dragon Boat Racing is an important symbol of Chinese traditional culture. It shows the charm of Chinese traditional culture that the Chinese people have not retreated in the torrent and are desperate to move forward. It also shows the spiritual style of Chinese people who are healthy and upward and are happy together. Dr. Zhu led the Cambridge community Chinese women’s team to make every effort, to advance the boat and retreat the waves,  achieving a proud record. such activities sowed the seeds of Chinese culture and carried forward the great Hunan spirit of never bowing to difficulties. As a teacher of Hunan University of Commerce, Dr. Zhu, with his own endeavor, has tried his best to make more foreigners, especially Cambridge people, appreciate the spiritual temperament of Chinese culture.

As a cultural emissary, Dr. Zhu Lihua always keeps her mission in mind. She always believes that Chinese scholars should make their own voices heard overseas and build up enough self-confidence. She made unremitting efforts to this end. On October 21, 2018, Dr. Zhu gave a keynote speech at the Cambridge Chinese Center. She discussed the relationship between language and culture from the differences between English and Chinese languages, arousing great interest from foreign experts, British Chinese and overseas Chinese in the cultural connotation of Chinese characters. At the same time, Dr. Zhu also planned and presided over a number of academic salons for Chinese scholars in Cambridge, including “She Nationality Folk Songs in the Post-Intangible Cultural Heritage Era---A Study of Heritage Discourse Based on Language Database”,“The Story between ‘Swiftly’ and ‘Quickly’ and McCarthy” ,“Wordsworth and the Growth of Lake District Tourism---A Preliminary Study on English Literature Tourism”, “Spatial Poetics of Tess”, “Pottery Age and the Occurrence of Chinese Artistic Ideas”, “The Belt and Road Initiative and International Trade Dispute Resolution Mechanism”, etc., which contributed to the Chinese scholars' voice sound in Cambridge.

Dr. Zhu Lihua believes that as a university teacher, teaching and educating people is her job. At the same time, as a language and culture worker, she also has the responsibility to spread the essence of Chinese culture and let Chinese culture go out and bloom abroad forever. In Cambridge, there are many such vivid examples. The touching verse of famous poet Xu Zhimos “Farewell to Cambridge” is still engraved on the campus of King's College of Cambridge University. The Monument of Jin Yong on the campus of St. John's College is also spreading many good stories. She came to Cambridge to visit and exchange studies. While grasping all the time to learn English culture, she also introduced and spread the spirit and temperament of Chinese culture to Britain, so that more English people can understand and love Chinese culture. Both China and Britain are cultural giants and should influence and appreciate each other. How to tell Chinese civilization, tell Chinese stories and show eastern wisdom? As an overseas scholar, she has devoted all her mind to the mission of cultural communication.
