Recently, the Young Cynic Practice Team of HNUC is successfully holding "Three into the Rural Areas" investigation activity about "Duty Dedication Investigation and Countermeasures Research for Hunan University Students". The team members issue questionnaires in Central South University, Hunan University, Hunan Normal University, Hunan University of Commerce, Xiangnan College, Shaoyang College and other undergraduate colleges and universities via the online and offline propaganda so that they obtain abundant questionnaire data and interview materials.
On the 18th CPC National Congress, the Party puts forward 24-words socialist core values, therein, the individual level of the socialist core values includes: Patriotism, dedication, integrity and friendship. The team members think, the most core and essential parts of individual values is the dedication. The team members think that the patriotism is not boycotting and smashing iphone, Japanese goods and Philippines goods, abuse and rumoring on the internet, instead of focusing on the present, cherishing posts, devoting wholeheartedly to work, as well as doing a good thing with assiduity due to the "excessive patriotism" phenomenon in recent days. In such case, our motherland will become more and more prosperous and powerful via the industrious cultivation and contribution of everyone. As a Chinese, the correct patriotism shall be dedication. And we will learn integrity with others and hold the good intention toward others only when we hold the correct duty dedication.
The team members find that many university students hold unsharp knowledge about duty devotion in the questionnaire issuing and recovery process. They conclude this phenomenon caused by the following main reasons after summary and analysis, namely, the duty dedication education, social environment influence, family education environment influence, school education and teaching environment influence, as well as internal factor influence of students are neglected in the examination-oriented education phase. University students are the future of our motherland and the hope of the nation, the correct duty dedication of university students is related to the country's prosperity, national rejuvenation and people's happiness. The team members think it is acceptable to strengthen the duty dedication course education, duty dedication culture construction in campus, social practice and practice supervision, innovative and entrepreneurial practice guidance, the duty dedication consciousness education of teachers to promote the duty dedication cultivation and effectively enhance the duty dedication consciousness of university students due to their insufficient duty dedication consciousness.
