This morning, the 7th Marketing Planning Competition of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Hunan School Students Under the Background of Internet Plus, co-organized by Hunan Market Society, Hunan University of Commerce and Hunan Erkang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, was launched in Changsha.
What made the difference is the activity initially invites vocational colleges to compete with undergraduate universities. The participants are expected to be 3,000 in numbers.
The highlight of the activity comes from the model of Internet Plus. On the one hand, it can checkout students’ coordinated abilities and team spirits. On the other hand, it can transfer theoretically creative programs into final products.
Ten universities of Hunan Province were attracted to participate in the activity. The activity set up several segments, such as online voting, a question and answer session, achievement exhibition and so on. Meanwhile, it invites 15 experts to serve as judges who come from marketing field in Schools and companies.
Economists hold that marketing disciplines in colleges are supposed to transform and develop by making efforts to train and seek talents with practical ability instead of marketing employees theoretically well-cultivated but indulged in empty talk. The related statistics indicate that self-employed workers approximately amount to 2 percent among 7 million undergraduates every year. Combined with previous graduated entrepreneurs, the number of entrepreneurs is just 200,000.
“Opinions on Deepening the Reform of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education in Colleges and Universities” printed previouly by General Office of the State Council aims at 9 revolutions, putting forward more than 30 concrete measures to establish innovation and entrepreneurship education system in institutes of higher learning which could integrate healthy classroom teaching into self-study, social practice, support and guidance as well as cultural awareness.
At the launch ceremony, a student from Hunan University of Commerce said that it was important for colleges and universities to create entrepreneurial atmosphere in order to encourage more college students to start up a business. Presently entrepreneurial atmosphere in the university is not favorable. He thought the organic combination of theory and practice of marketing could lead to college students’ innovative achievements, and they could also learn from each other through the competition.
