Good News! Academician Team of HUTB Selected as "Huang Danian-style Teacher Team in National Colleges and Universities"

Recently, the Ministry of Education officially publicized the results of the second batch of "Huang Danian-style Teacher Team in National Colleges and Universities", and identified 200 teacher teams from 200 universities across the country. The academician team of "Green and Smart Management" in HUTB was successfully selected. Only seven teacher teams were selected in Hunan Province.

The team is led by Professor Chen Xiaohong, Party Secretary and CAE Academician, headed by Professor Huang Fuhua, Dean of School of Business Administration and comprised of 26 members from four specialties including big data management and application, environmental science, intelligent management and green supply chain. In the past ten years, professors and associate professors have taught 286 hours per year and 365 hours per year respectively, and 14 of them have served as class advisors and instructors. A total of 74 postgraduates and 16 doctoral students have been trained and students were guided to establish 209 scientific research projects and innovation and entrepreneurship projects. Nine of the trained students were selected into the National Science Fund for Outstanding Youth and the New Century Outstanding Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education, and a number of outstanding entrepreneurs and professional managers emerged.

Team members were selected into 12 national, provincial and ministerial high-level talent programs, such as CAE academicians, leading talents in philosophy and social sciences under the national "Ten Thousand Talents Program", national famous cultural artists and "Four-batch" talents, experts enjoying special government allowance from the State Council, counselors of People's Government of Hunan Province, candidates for the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program of the Ministry of Education, and candidates of Hunan Furong Scholar Award Program. Team members were awarded seven national, provincial and ministerial honorary awards, including the souvenir medal for "Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China", Fudan Management Award for Outstanding Contribution, "Excellent Expert" in Hunan Province, "Advanced Individual" in poverty alleviation and difficulties tackling in Hunan Province, and Shortlisted Award for the Instructor of the Year in National Colleges and Universities. Team members won more than 10 national, provincial and ministerial S&T awards, including the Second Prize of National S&T Progress, the First Prize of Outstanding Achievement Award of Scientific Research in Colleges and Universities of the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of Outstanding Achievement Award of Humanities and Social Sciences Research of the Ministry of Education, and Hunan Guangzhao S&T Award, as well as one second prize of national teaching achievement award, one third prize of Young Classroom Teaching Competition of National Colleges and Universities, two first prizes, two second prizes and four third prizes of Hunan Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award, one third prize of Hunan Educational Science Research Outstanding Achievement Award and two first prizes of Classroom Teaching Competition of Hunan Colleges and Universities. The Party branch where the members are located was awarded the provincial "Advanced Grass-roots Party Organization" and the "National Model Party Branch of Party Building" by the Ministry of Education. Students were instructed to win more than 30 national and provincial awards, such as Special Prize of China Education Robot Contest, Progressive Innovation Gold Award and Special Prize of Challenge Cup Extracurricular Academic and Scientific Works Competition of National College and University Students, First Prize of Urban Management Competition of National College and University Students, First Prize of Changfeng Cup Big Data Analysis and Mining Competition, First Prize of ERP Sand Table Simulation Competition, etc.

Fourteen scientific research achievements developed by team members, such as "Theory and Practice for Evaluation of Two-oriented Society Construction", "Two-oriented Project Management", "Green and Efficient Development Project Management of Metal Mineral Resources", "Research on Blockchain Technology and Application Development" and "Research on Business Intelligence and Data Mining", have been successfully transformed into teaching achievements. More than 10 policy suggestions submitted on issues such as energy security and epidemic prevention and control decision-making have been adopted by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council, and some policy suggestions have been instructed by the top leaders of the Party and the state and incorporated into national decision-making. Twenty-four high-level scientific research projects, such as the National Center for Basic Science of National Natural Science Foundation of China (the first in the central region), major consulting project of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and major project of the National Social Science Fund of China, have been established, with a total funding of nearly 100 million yuan. Team members have published more than 400 papers in top journals such as Nature and Management World, including more than 60 papers by ESI in the top 1% of the world and 37 monographs.

Party Committee of HUTB attaches great importance to the cultivation and construction of advanced model teachers, The successful selection of the academician team of "Green and Smart Management" has enabled HUTB to achieve a new breakthrough in the construction of national teacher team, set an example for all faculty, and lay a good foundation for HUTB to achieve the goal of "Three Upgrades and Three Highlands" during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period and build an innovative first-class technology and business university with distinctive characteristics.
