Professor Yang Shenggang from Hunan University Gives Lecture in HUTB

On the afternoon of September24, Prof. Yang Shenggang from Hunan University, Vice Chairman of the Academician Expert Advisory Committee of the People’s Government of Hunan Province, a member of the Review Committee of the Department of Management of National Natural Science Foundation of China, a member of the Teaching Steering Subcommittee of Finance in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education (MOE), and a standing director of the ChineseFinance Annual Meeting, was invited to give a special lecture titled Guide to Programs Applying for National Natural Science Fund: Data Analysis and Experience Sharingto the students and faculty of the School of Finance. Party Secretary-General Tang Yayang and Vice President Liu Guoquan were present, and the members of the Party Committee Office and Principal Office, students and faculty of theSchool of Finance listened to the lecture. The lecture was presided over by Mr. Liu.
During the lecture, Prof. Yang gave detailed explanations from the reform directions of the National Natural Science Fund, the applications of the Department of Management Sciences in 2020, funding schemes, rejected applications, project classification standards based on comprehensive evaluation and total scoring, review of economic sciences disciplines, non-conforming applications and preliminary screening of economic sciences disciplines, peer review of economic sciences disciplines, classification standards and summary of economic sciences disciplines, declaration of economic sciences disciplines, and Guide to Projects(Draft)foreconomic sciences disciplines. Prof. Yang, in the lecture, explained profound theories in simple language, and explained the key points of project applications to theNational Natural Sciences Foundation of China precisely, and provided useful application guidance to the teaching faculty. Prof. Yang reminded the teachers of making meticulous preparations for fund application, completing application documents in advance and polishing the documents carefully, strengthening cooperation, and actively consulting high-level experts and scholars for guidance and doing revision to enhance their scientific research capabilities and quality.
The lecture widened teachers’ academic horizon, and particularly aroused brand-new inspiration and thinking for applicationsof projects under theNational Natural Sciences Fund.
