HUTB Achieves Good Results in Application for Ideological and Political Research Programs

Recently, the Education Work Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee has announced the 2020 list of the approved provincial ideological and political research programs among universities. The 5 proposals recommended and submitted by Hunan University of Technology and Business (HUTB) have all been approved as provincial programs. Thus, HUTB ranks second among the universities in Hunan in terms of the number of approved programs. Of the 5 proposals, 1 is funded by the provincial social science fund, 2 are ideological and political education programs among universities, 1 is a special program for ideological and political theoretical teaching and research, and 1 is a special program for backbone counselors.
In the previous application for excellent ideological and political programs and backbone team programs, HUTB also made fruitful results, including 2 excellent ideological and political programs and 1 backbone team program. As a result, HUTB ranked among the top universities in Hunan in terms of the number of approved programs.
In recent years, HUTB has actively implemented targeted ideological and political educationin an increasingly scientific manner; HUTB has promoted the research and interpretation of ideological and political education with strong problem awareness and practical care; HUTB has constantly enhanced the pertinence and appeal of ideological and political work. Since the Ministry of Education implemented the quality improvement for ideological and political education in universities, HUTB’s faculty have actively applied for relevant programs in line with the arrangements and requirementsof the CPC Central Committeeand CPC Hunan Provincial Committee. During this process, HUTB’s faculty have targeted the hotspots and difficulties in ideological and political education, focused on implementing the fundamental tasks of talent cultivation, and considered their own work practices. Over the two years, HUTB has established nearly 20 ideological and political programs at or above the provincial level,has set up the “Pilot School (Department) for Comprehensive Reform of All-round and Full-process Education with Total Involvement”, the “Innovation Development Center of Ideological and Political Education”, the “Famous Teacher Workshop”, and backbone team programs, has developed 6 excellent provincial ideological and political programs, andhas collected and recommended 34 excellent ideological and political education cases.
