HUTB Teacher Ranks No.1 in Selective Trial in Hunan for the 5th National Classroom Teaching Competition of Youth College Teachers

On June 19, the Selective Trial in Hunan for the Fifth National Classroom Teaching Competition of Youth College Teachers was held in Hunan Normal University. This selection activity was hosted by Hunan Education Labor Union and organized by HunanAcademyof EducationSciences. Deng Xin from the School of Finance of HUTB won the first place in the liberal arts group and will participate in, on behalf of Hunan Province, the Fifth National Classroom Teaching Competition of Youth College Teachers tobe held at Nanjing University at the end of this September.

The Selective Trial in Hunan involves five groups: liberal arts, science, engineering, medicine, and ideological and political theory. The 8 contestants selected for each group are all the first prize winners of the Hunan provincial classroom teaching competitions held in the past two years. The Selective Trial strictly followed the rules of the national classroom teaching competition.The scores of each contestant’s teaching design, classroom teaching and teaching reflection were totaled.In each group, the one with the highest total wasdetermined as the contestant representative of Hunan province.

After receiving the notice from Hunan Education Labor Union on organizing the Selective Trial in Hunan for the Fifth National Classroom Teaching Competition of Youth College Teachers, HUTB leaders attached great importance to the trial. Besides elaborate arrangements, the Academic Affairs Division and the Labor Union ofHUTBinvited famous teachers inside and outside HUTB to refine and comment on Deng Xin’s teaching and to provide professional guidance in classroom teaching, courseware preparation, teaching plan design, teaching posture and styles.
