[Epidemic Prevention and Control] HUTB Party Secretary Tang Yayang Inspects and Arranges HUTB's Epidemic Prevention and Control Work

Recently, Tang Yayang, Party Secretary of Hunan University of Technology and Business (HUTB), has inspected, arranged and further strengthened HUTB’s COVID-19 prevention and control work.
Secretary Tang came to the Student Apartment in the Lingnan Campus and cordially visited the international students staying here during the winter vacation. He extended New Year blessings to these international students and brought them the daily necessities HUTB specially procured, like masks, foods, and mineral water. He asked the students about their study, life and epidemic prevention and control measures, reminding them to be careful,to wear masks, to wash hands frequently, to keep ventilation and to go out less. He urged students to well carry out all preventive tasks. Secretary Tang required that the dormitory regulations and rules applicable for the epidemic prevention and control should be formulated as soon as possible and be strictly implemented for the formation of strong defense against the epidemic. About the current prominent issues on procurement of daily food materials, power consumption of air conditioning, WIFI, etc., Secretary Tang held thematic discussions with the students and put forward countermeasures and solutions.
Secretary Tang inspectedthe gates, office building, student apartments and other areas of the University. On these sites, he supervised the implementation of anti-epidemic work, expressed his sincere appreciation to the faculty members sticking to their posts during the winter vacation, and encouraged them to work together with firm confidence, deep dedication, and great courage to fulfill their responsibilities of making due contributions to winning this battle against the epidemic.
Secretary Tang heard the reports from relevant departments, and about the severe situations and main problems in the University’s epidemic prevention and control, Secretary Tang carried out in-depth discussion, and analysis with relevant departments. Secretary Tang affirmed the anti-epidemic efforts in the previous stage and raised eight requirements for the current epidemic prevention and control: First, efforts should be made to strengthen the multiple-channel procurement of protective goods to fully meet the anti-epidemic needs. Second, efforts should be done to enhance the publicity and guidance on the epidemic prevention and control; authoritative epidemic information and protective knowledge should be timely released through network platforms, electronic displays, and school broadcasts. Third,the primary Party organizationsand Party members should fully play their role of exemplary vanguard, earnestly put the guiding principles of the Party Central Committee and Hunan Provincial Party Committee into effect, and strive to do a good job in personnel screening, epidemic reporting, guarantee of material supplies, and other work. Fourth, efforts should be made to strengthen on-duty work; in the responsible departments, the main leaders of Party Committees and school administration should personally, actively and resolutely arrange the epidemic prevention and control in strict accordance with the requirements of the superior and the University. Fifth, efforts should be made to intensify campus management, especially the gate access management; the vehicles and people entering the University should be strictly screened and registered. Sixth, a specific plan should be made to manage students’ massive return to school for the new semester. Seventh, efforts should be made to formulate treatment plans for special situations, such as fever and confirmed cases. Eighth, the contact with the government should be further maintained with the strict implementation of the requesting and reporting system. Once detected, any epidemic case should be resolutely and properly dealt with and reported to the relevant departments in the first instance.
