The 2019 Competition Final of Classroom Teaching of Teachers in Regular Institutions of Higher Learning in Hunan Province Was Held

On October 25-26, the 2019 Competition Finals of Classroom Teaching of Teachers in Regular Institutions of Higher Learning in Hunan Province and Seminar of Class Teaching Reform sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Education Department and Educational Labor Union and undertaken by Hunan Academy of Education Science were held in our university. 71 teachers from 33 colleges and universities in the whole province displayed the whole teaching process on site, and over 400 teachers from colleges and universities in the province conducted the empathic learning on the site.

The teaching competition in this year was divided into the liberal arts, science, engineering course and ideology and politics, and the judges gave marks on site by synthesizing the performances in intermediary competition. All participating teachers were calm and free, and won the high recognition of experts, peers and students by virtue of the full enthusiasm, solid basic skills, rich teaching contents and flexible teaching method.

After the fierce competition, 37 teachers stood out and won the First Prize of each group. 13 colleges and universities such as Central South University, Hunan University, Hunan University of Technology and Business, etc. won the Outstanding Organization Award. Three teachers in our university: Deng Xin, Zhu Lihua and Liu Tuozhi, won the First Prize.

At the classroom teaching reform seminar held in the afternoon of October 26, Shi Dengming, the Dean of Hunan Academy of Education Science, Zeng Liqin, the Director General of Higher Education Office of Hunan Provincial Education Department, Yi Lipeng, the Vice Chairman of Provincial Educational Labor Union, and Zeng Siliang, the Level 4 Researcher of Higher Education Office of Hunan Provincial Education Department, attended the seminar. Liu Guoquan, the Vice President of our university attended the seminar and made a speech. The conference was presided by Chen Yongxian, the Vice Dean of Hunan Academy of Education Science.

Vice President Liu Guoquan extended a warm welcome to the leaders and teachers on the field on behalf of our university, and expressed sincere thanks to the hard work of the whole staff. He indicated that the promotion of double first-class construction shall focus on the main business and key link to achieve "summary of career, progress in ages and innovation under situation" and cultivate the Times newcomers with morality, warmth, physique and Chinese style.

Zeng Liqin, the Director General of Higher Education Office of Hunan Provincial Education Department, indicated that the colleges and universities in the whole province are deeply carrying out the theme education activity of "remaining true to the original aspiration and keeping mission in mind" and the original aspiration and mission are "cultivating talents for the Party and Country", and proposed three opinions to the classroom teaching in colleges and universities with the mission of "strengthening moral education and cultivating people", responsible for "educating people with ideology and politics" and guided by "building gold class".

Wang Xiangyu, the gainer of the First Prize of Special Ideology and Politics Project of the Fourth Teaching Competition of Young Teachers in National Colleges and Universities and the Doctor of School of Marxism, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, made the special report and demonstration teaching. Jin Yisu, the Doctor of Central South University, made the experience exchange about the teacher's teaching development. Yu Ling, Doctor of Hunan University, remarked the teachers participating in the finals on behalf of the Expert Group. Each leader presents the award for the individuals and units wining the First Prize and Outstanding Organization Award in the classroom teaching competition.

In order to construct the platform of professional development and interschool teaching research for teachers and to innovate the teaching incentive mechanism of teachers in colleges and universities, since 2011, the classroom teaching competition of teachers in the colleges and universities in the whole province has been sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Education Department and Provincial Educational Labor Union and undertaken by Provincial Institute of Education Sciences every year. The colleges and universities in the whole province and wide teachers proactively participated in the competition activities. The competition level, influence and public trust improve constantly, which gives play to important role in promoting the teachers' teaching development.

The competition activity of this year was co-organized by our university, and 235 teachers from the regular institutions of higher learning in the whole province were recommended to participate in the intermediary competition of provincial classroom teaching competition to achieve the full coverage of 52 colleges and universities (37 ordinary undergraduate colleges and universities and 15 independent colleges) from which the participating teachers are. Over 5,000 teachers participated in the school-level preliminary competition, and top 30% of each group in provincial intermediary competition entered the finals.
