Our University's Teachers Won the First Prize in the Provincial Teaching Demonstration Competition

On October 29, the first colleges and universities teaching demonstration activity finals about "Trends and Policy" of Hunan Province was held in University of South China. Nie Zhi, deputy dean and associate professor of School of Marxism of our university ranked first in the undergraduate group and won the first prize, who was selected as the unique representative of Hunan undergraduate universities to participate in the national online micro-course demonstration and in-site teaching demonstration which were organized by Ministry of Education.
The main purpose of the first colleges and universities tour teaching demonstration activity about "Trends and Policy" lied in deeply carrying out the ideological and political theory course's innovative plan in the common colleges and universities, effectively deepening "Trends and Policy" teaching reform, finding and cultivating a batch of excellent backbone teachers, as well as vigorously promoting the new concept, thought and strategy about state ruling and policy handling by Party Central Committee to enter in the courseware, classroom and students' brain.
This activity was hosted by the Provincial Education Department, undertaken by University of South China and co-organized by Hunan Agency of Report on Current Events magazine of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC. Divided into undergraduate group and higher vocational college group, and this activity was composed of preliminary contest, intermediary contest and finals. Specifically, every college shall recommend one teacher to participate in the intermediary contest of Hunan Province, then, the 36 teachers who had passed through intermediary contest would reach the final. The undergraduate group and higher vocational college group shall set three first prizes, five second prizes and ten third prizes. Meanwhile, the teachers who won the first prize and obtained the highest scores in the undergraduate group and higher vocational college group would be recommended to participate in the exhibition activity which was held by Ministry of Education.
In recent years, the university paid high attention to the ideological and political theory course construction and reform, especially, the research and propagation for the new concept, thought and strategy about state ruling and policy handling by Party Central Committee, and gave priority to guarantee the ideological and political theory course construction in the university development planning, expenditure investment and public resources utilization, besides, the School of Marxism has made great efforts to strengthen the organizational leadership, and continuously promote the teaching and scientific research project construction, so its reaching and scientific research level have been significantly enhanced.
