President Chen Xiaohong Led a Party to Inspect the School’s Maker Center

“Our team aims to promote high-tech ecological agricultural produces”, “We mainly manage hand paintings” ...... On the afternoon of May 30, once President Chen Xiaohong, vice president Peng Jin qing, Zeng Fuqiu, Liu Guoquan and persons in charge from Party and Government Administration Office, Teaching Affairs Division, Admission and Employment Guidance Division, Communist Youth League of the school, Assets Management Division, Logistics Division walked into our school’s maker center, they were immediately invited by entrepreneurial teams to their offices with special characteristics.

School leaders visited the settled student innovative and entrepreneurial projects, had cordial exchanges with students in the projects, listened to introductions of Jixinweier Entrepreneurial Studio, Personal Tailor of Original Hand Paintings, Hunan Ruiteng Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Zhizhu Cloud Farm Service Platform, Logistic Innovative and Entrepreneurial Studios,and investigated the functions, management mechanisms, utilization of the maker center.

In their exchange meeting, students of the entrepreneurial teams show their gratitude for the school to provide them with good business hardware and software conditions which are like wings for their entrepreneurial dream, but also they also hope for more advice more legal guidance, and more accesses to proposals and ideas from business outside the school.

After students’ reports, school leaders hoped that students could combine the advantages of school disciplines, rely on the resources and services provided by maker center, and constantly improve the business model of their project with courageous trials and innovations. The school would provide better conditions for the businesses.

President Chen pointed out that under the country’s principle of innovation and entrepreneurship, the school held a meeting on this subject and a three-year plan was made for innovation and entrepreneurship. The school attaches great importance to students’ starting businesses, hoping it could become the main stream of the school, and create jobs so that more students would start their own businesses. She also encouraged students to participate in high-level business competition, and a resounding innovation and entrepreneurship brand provincially or even nationally, projects with good prospects can even consider the business listing.

President Chen said that the school would invest more create better conditions and environment by expanding the maker center with more hardware as well as software and spare no efforts to support students’ innovative and entrepreneurial projects, to establish mentors bank within or outside the school. She hoped that students could be happy with their businesses and take this as their targets of life and career. She also hoped that influential entrepreneurs and professional managers could turn up from these teams

In the harmonious atmosphere, the student participants said in the exchange meeting that they had clearer direction and more confidence for their future work with the school’s investment and support.

It is said that altogether 17 projects successfully settle into the school’s maker center at the initial stage after several rounds of application, presentation, and expert appraisal with their excellent performances. Previously, 16 projects were allowed to settle in the student incubation base. So up to now, more than 30 projects have their working space and relevant resources provided by the school’s center or base.(report/photo by Yang Jia)
