Secretary of the Party, Tang Yayang Researched on School of Marxism, Aesthetic Education Teaching and Research Department, and PE Teaching and Research Department

On April 21, Secretary of the Party Committee, Tang Yayang, in the accompany of the directors and principals from Office of Party Committee, Personnel Division, Teaching Affairs Division, Financial Affairs Division, Asset Management Division, and Logistics Division, made a research on School of Marxism, Aesthetic Education Teaching and Research Department, and PE Teaching and Research Department.
In the conference room of School of Marxism, Peng Huancai, Dean of School of Marxism, Tang Huichi, Director of Aesthetic Education Teaching and Researching Department made a report on the basic situation of their unit respectively. Teacher representatives in the conference delivered speeches and made exchanges on the Party construction, base construction, and course teaching. Functional department head stated that supporting service for the School of Marxism will be ensured under the leadership of the School Party Committee and Administration Office.
Tang Yayang made a summary at the conference and fully affirmed the development of the School of Marxism in recent years. He pointed out that colleges and universities should enhance and improve the moral education, intellectual education, physical education, and aesthetic education comprehensively. Studying of cultural knowledge and cultivation of ideological morality should be equally stressed. The School of Marxism, as the major front for ideology instruction and major channel for ideological and political education of college students, plays an irreplaceable role in socialism education.
Mr. Tang Yayang stressed that morality education is a basic task of education. As education on political theory and socialist core values is of great importance, the School of Marxism should comprehend and meet the new spirit and requirement of further improving ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities put forward by Propaganda Department of the CPC and Ministry of Education. School of Marxism should find the proper school-running orientation and compact its thought in school-running, while Aesthetic Education Teaching and Research Department should pay more attention to cultivating students' aesthetic taste and humanistic quality. And the Department should try to break through in teaching method reform, and make its due contribution in ensuring that students improve in terms of their moral, intellectual and fitness level as well as in their appreciation of aesthetics.
In PE Research Department, Mr. Tang Yayang first listened to the report of Liu Qing, director of the department. And opinions and suggestions on sports ground improvement, course setup, and equipment renewal that put forward by teachers participated in the conference were also favored by Mr. Tang. Participated functional department responded and explained the relevant situation.
Secretary Tang Yayang made a concluding speech in the conference in which he expressed gratitude and condolence to all the teachers in the PE Teaching and Research Department for their hard work. Mr. Tang Yayang stated that physical education is a vital part for the students' all-round development, which plays an important role in the students' personality cultivation and study. The quality of PE education should be enhanced with the idea of "Health First". The PE Teaching and Research Department is expected to innovate mechanism and vitalize resources with a clear thinking, so as to improve the health of teachers and students and foster a sound sport culture.
