Provincial Experts Do Acceptance Check in Our School

On the morning of Oct. 22nd, experts panel including Wang Zhengming, the educational director of the National University of Defense Technology, Li Xinnian, the deputy director of Academic Affairs Division of Hunan Normal University, Ni Zhengshun, the director of Academic Affairs Division of Hunan University of Technology and Zhang Ping, the deputy director of Higher Education Department of Hunan Educational Department, visited our school for field inspection and acceptance of the pilot programs of Hunan comprehensive discipline reform. The work report meeting was held in the conference room on the 4th floor of the second office building. President Chen Xiaohong and Professor Yang Hong attended the report meeting and the feedback meeting. Director Hu Changhua of the Teaching Affairs Division hosted these meetings, along with the related attendees from our Academic Affairs Division, School of Business Administration and School of Economy and Trade.
The school leader, Professor Yang Hong, gave her welcoming speech in the meeting to the expert panel. She briefed the current working situation of the pilot programs, pointing out that our school has been reinforcing the management inspection and supervision of the pilot program and making greater efforts in human, material and financial resources. After years of building, those pilot programs of comprehensive discipline reform is playing a leading and exemplary role in our school’s profession building. It is hoped that experts can give more precious advices to our discipline reform so as to lift our teaching to a higher level.
Wang Zhengming, one expert of the panel, gave instructions about the related affairs of the inspection and acceptance. Deputy Director Zhang Hong of Academic Affairs Division delivered the report of our organizational and management work in pilot programs of comprehensive discipline reform. The first was organizing and amending our education program and pinpointing the reform priorities; the second is conforming to the reform demand and providing service and support; the third is investing more to improve the school’s hardware and software; and the fourth is ensuring the operational expenditures and strengthening supervision over the expenditures.
Professor Huang Fuhua who is in charge of our Logistics major and Professor Liu Tianxiang who is in charge of our Economics major gave accounts of their comprehensive discipline improvement scheme, reforming achievement and features as well as conclusion and outlook on the future work. After the report meeting, the expert panel paid a field inspection and did assessment of our Econometrics Analysis laboratory, E-commercial laboratory and EPR laboratory.
Expert Wang Zhengming made a further speech on behalf of the panel in the assessment feedback meeting, giving a positive recognition of our work and putting forth advices for further work in this respect. He hoped that our university could deepen the reforming conclusion and summary experience for the exemplary publicity of the same majors.
