At the meeting, Hou Junjun conveyed the spirit of the provincial education system’s video conference on deploying a special rectification campaign for campus fire safety risks and hazards. He outlined the rectification requirements across six key aspects—inspection, management, equipping, drills, strict enforcement, and institutional building—stressing that with a “never at ease” sense of responsibility, all tasks scheduled for completion before August 20 must be carried out with the utmost diligence.

The Security Division introduced the Implementation Plan for the Special Rectification Campaign of Campus Fire Safety Hazards at HUTB, focusing on nine priority areas including the resolute clearing of “life channels,” and set forth clear rectification targets and requirements.

In his closing remarks, Liao Zhikun analyzed the fire safety situation across the provincial education system since the beginning of this year and outlined three work requirements: First, raise political awareness and firmly uphold the bottom line of safety. Second, adopt a systematic approach to treatment, ensuring “all-people, all-time, all-domain, and all-around operations.” Fight a “tough battle” with determination, decisiveness, speed, and comprehensiveness. Closely monitor key areas, critical time points, and key groups. Coordinate fire safety with other safety aspects to wage a “systemic battle.” Prioritize tasks such as strict control of fire and electricity use, full equipping of fire-fighting facilities, regular evacuation drills, and clearing of corridor clutter. Third, strictly enforce discipline and reinforce work requirements. Overcome complacency and the mentality of taking chances, and resolutely win the tough battle of the special rectification campaign against campus fire safety hazards.
