HUTB Organizes Spring Counterterrorism and Riot Control Security Drill
To further improve the emergency response capabilities of campus security and strengthen the safety measures of our university, a special counterterrorism and riot control security drill was conducted on the morning of May 9. The university invited Officer Wang Shengwei from the Wangcheng Public Security Sub-bureau's Special Patrol Police Brigade to provide guidance and assistance for the drill.
Officer Wang Shengwei provided on-site explanations and demonstrations of the functions and proper use of riot control equipment such as riot shields, steel forks, and batons. Special police officers personally demonstrated combat techniques to subdue attackers, showing the effectiveness of one-on-one, two-on-one, and coordinated group formations in neutralizing criminals. Officer Wang emphasized the current challenging situation in counterterrorism and riot control. Security personnel at the university must possess knowledge and skills in counterterrorism and riot control. In the event of an emergency, they should promptly utilize riot control equipment and take effective measures to defuse the crisis.
The counterterrorism and riot control exercise has further enhanced the ability of our university's security personnel to respond to terrorist attacks and other emergencies. It has effectively promoted the solid implementation of campus security and counterterrorism and riot control measures, advancing the overall safety precautions at the university.
