HUTB Conducts Training on CPR Knowledge and Skills
2023-07-03
In response to the Healthy China Initiative and to promote emergency rescue knowledge among the general population, HUTB initiated comprehensive training in CPR knowledge and skills in June. This aims to enhance the emergency response capabilities and safety awareness of our students. The training is divided into two parts: online theoretical training and offline practical skills training.
The online theoretical training covers all enrolled students. Through participating in the CPR training courses, students have acquired theoretical knowledge about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillators (AEDs). They have gained a deeper understanding of the importance of providing on-site first aid in critical situations and have also established a solid foundation for subsequent practical skills training.
The offline skills training primarily targets key students from all secondary schools. From June 20 to June 27, HUTB invited volunteers from the Furong District Red Cross Society and the Furong Blue Sky Rescue Team in batches to provide CPR skill training for over 3000 students in both the north and south campuses. During the practical sessions, all trainees actively participated in the exercises, and volunteers provided hands-on guidance and corrections throughout to ensure the effectiveness of the training.
